ABSTRACT
This project is aimed at developing a GUI application named Inventory Manage-
ment System for managing the inventory system of any organization. The Inventory Management
System refers to the system and processes to manage the stock of organization with the involve-
ment of Technology system. This system can be used to store the details of the inventory, stock
maintenance, update the inventory based on the sales details, generate sales and inventory report
daily or weekly based. This project is categorise individual aspects for the sales and inventory
management system. In this system we are solving different problem affecting to direct sales man-
agement and purchase management.
Inventory Management System is important to ensure quality control in busi-
nesses that handle transactions resolving around consumer goods. Without proper inventory con-
trol, a large retail store may runout of stock on an important item. A good inventory management
system will alert the wholesaler when it is time to record. Inventory Management System is also
on important means of automatically tracking large shipment. An automated Inventory Manage-
ment System helps to minimize the errors while recording the stock

This project is prepared in the partial fullfillment of the requirement for the
degree of Bsc IT (Information Technology). The satisfaction and success of completion of this
task would be incomplete without heartfelt thanks to people whose constant guidance, support and
encouragement made this work successful. On doing this is an undergraduate project I have been
fortunate to have help, support and encouragement from many people. I would like to acknowledge
them for their cooperation.
My first thanks goes to University of Mumbai for designing such a worthy
syllabus and making me do this project. My next thanks goes to the faculty of Management of
Saket College without whose help my project would have been impossible. This list includes Prin-
cipal of Saket College and Head of The Department . My very sincere and heartfelt thanks go to
our project supervisor for her enthusiasm, patience, insightful comments, helpful information,
practical advice and unceasing ideas that have helped me tremendously at all times in my research.
Without her guidance our project would have been impossible.
Last but not the least I want to thank every direct and indirect hands that were
involved in completion of this project. I would also thank all of my parents and friends for their
whole hearted support and encouragement without with this project would not have been success-
ful. This project has been a wonderful experience where i have learnt and experienced many ben-
