The VIZIER Profile

The VIZIER magazine is a monthly publication on Islam, covering various aspects of Muslim civilisation and history, from culture, fiqh (jurisprudence), ibadah (worship), to finance, geopolitics and arts. Singapore has not yet seen the like of such a magazine in the last six decades. This will be the first of its kind with such a wide and extensive circulation and readership. The magazine will be launched free in August 2011 (Ramadan 1432) at the heart of the Muslim markets all around the island. Though the publication is intended to be sold from the second issue onwards, a minimum of 500 copies wil be distributed free every month to the Muslim elite of Singapore - professionals, top businessmen, decision makers, politicians, academics, scholars and leaders of organizations like MUIS, PERGAS, Darul Arqam and so on. A powerful distribution network has been formed in collaboration with important Muslim organizations like MUIS. An advertising package has been designed specially to meet the needs of businesses that may look upon both the general public as well as the elite.

History in the making

There is no such Islamic magazine circulating in Singapore in addition to the extensive coverage of local reports as well as the global situation. The first issue of the VIZIER Magazine will strategically reach out to the Muslims of Singapore island wide free of charge. TheVIZIER Magazine will also be an affordable issue priced only at SGD$2.50 per copy in the subsequent months after Ramadan/August. With these unique approach and strong content, theVIZIER will pioneer through the market in Singapore. Future plans include e-magazine, official launch of the magazine and international strategic distribution.

Chief Editor: Hasbullah Shafiiy, Singaporean writer, publisher, poet, thinker and founder of Media group, Wazir Media Pte. Ltd., publisher of the Main Islamic Magazine, The Vizier.

Mr. Hasbullah Shafiiy graduated from Dallas College, Cape Town, with a Bachelors degree in Geopolitics. He has travelled widely and has worked with a number of reputable Islamic organisations around the world like IZ Medien, a German Muslim media company and World Islamic Mint, an international Muslim organisation dealing with the re-establishment of Islamic coinage and the economic model of Islam. He has been writing for Globalia magazine published by IZ Medien the last few years and has served as the Asian ambassabor of the magazine in Kuala Lumpur which was launched by Dr. Mahathir in February 2011. He has also published a collection of poems under the title This Our Age. He presently writes for Globalia Magazine and works closely with Islamische Ummah Gemeinschaft (IUG), in Berlin doing social work for Muslims in the country.
