as an expert teacher?
- According to the teacher I interviewed she said that life is a continuous process so with
learning. And to be able to become an expert teacher, she considered these 3 important things:
1. Professional development- To become an expert teacher, you must strive to progress
professionally through attending seminars, trainings, and workshop. Enrolling to graduate studies is
also a powerful help. The more knowledge and skills you gain, the more expert you become.
2. Experiences- The more experienced a teacher is, the more effective and efficient she/he is, the
greater the student she/he will produce.
3. Attitude- To think that you are knowledgeable enough, thinking you have gained all the
knowledge and skills a teacher needs are stupid. To be an expert teacher, one must have that mindset
that we are still lacking and that we still have many things to learn. No matter how knowledgeable
you think you are, do not boast. You must be humble, ready for changes, willing to accept
corrections, and have the guts to learn new things. Sometimes we need to unlearn to learn more.
