1. How important do you think it is for young people in Poland to have good
command of the English language?
In my opinion good command of the English language for people in Poland is really
significant. Polish language is beautiful but not many people use it. English on the other hand
is used more often that is why we should know it – it can make our life ve much easier. Many
times in my live I wanted to watch a movie but I couldn’t find it with Polish subtitles and
because I understand English very well, I could watch it without them. On top of that I love
English musicians and if I couldn’t understand their language watching their concert
wouldn’t make that much sense and wouldn’t be interesting at all because I wouldn’t have
the foggiest idea what they are saying. One of my greatest dream is to see a concert in
Carnegie Hall in New York and it will not come true if I’m not able to use English language. It
goes without saying that English language is really important for Polish youth because if we
want our dreams to come true we need to know it. Also if we want to understand for
example the lyrics of our favorite song or watch movie without Polish subtitles we have to
be familiar with this language.
2.What do young people use English for in their everyday lives?
As I write above people use English to watch movies or understand lyrics of songs. In
addition we can use this language to communicate with people from other part of the world.
There is many websites where you can have conversation with people from the USA or
Canada. Needless to say young people use this language to translate many things, like recipe
for a cake. I also use English to read news from abroad and to watch things like Academy
Awards (the Oscars) or Grammy Awards.
3.What do you find hardest and the easiest about learning English? Why?
In my opinion the hardest about learning English is listening comprehension. Everyone has
different accent and everyone pronounces words differently so sometimes it’s really hard to
understand. But we can’t lose hope. If we want our listening skills to be better we have to
watch many movies in English (than if you don’t understand something you can see what the
character were talking about). But it is important to watch movies from different part of the
world and witch different actors and actress – than after time you should get used to
different pronunciation of the words. As for the easiest thing about learning English for me is
learning words. I remember things really quickly so learning words it’s not tough for me.

Explain in a nutshell the concept of human rights—provide your own definition and offer a
few examples of basic human rights.
Everyone in this world no matter what country they come from has the same human rights.
No one can take this rights away from us. In addition no authority can regulate it.
Fundamental human rights include: freedom, security, rights to life and happiness. On top of
that human rights are universal and not privileges. Also everyone has rights to express his or
her views and belief in any religion. It goes without saying that human rights are violated in
many countries and during wars. This is really important to fight such behavior peacefully.
Each of us has the rights to a peacefully and happy life, regardless of our authority.
