MOODS OF VERBS
Mood is the form of the verb that shows the mode or manner in which a thought is
expressed.
1. Indicative, a verb stating an apparent fact or asking a question.
Example: Manila is the capital of the Philippines.
2. Imperative, a verb stating a command, request, prohibition, or advice.
Example: Give me back my money.
3. Subjunctive, a verb expressing a doubt, desire, supposition, or condition contrary to
fact.
Example: If I were you, I won’t do that.

location in time. It is also known as tenses. However, aspect always includes tense
but tense can occur without aspect.
