A. Briefly explain your answer to the following questions.


1. Among the different methods of philosophy which specific method is most meaningful
for you?
Answer:
The most meaningful methods of philosophy is the method of Logic and Critical
Thinking: Tools in Reasoning because this method talks about facts, opinion,
personal feelings, cultural systems, values and beliefs. And for me this method of
philosophy is not bias and prejudice and I want to this method that it opens new
ideas, suggestion and opinion. And this method you can use to out your personal
feeling.

2. What makes a person critical thinker? What characteristics of a critical thinking do you
think you possess or ought to have?
Answer:

A person makes a critical thinker by the curiosity that a person have, critical
thinking is the careful, reflective, rational and systematic approach to questions of
very general interest. merely giving claims but through careful thought, one
reasons through argumentation’s.
I think Continually examining and re examining ideas is my critical thinking that I
have and to better understand every detail .
Task No. 2
I. Give THREE examples of situations applying any of the fallacies and explain briefly
what makes it fallacy.

1. False Cause -
Answer:
“Every time I use and hug the teddy bears, I’m sad and cry therefore I
will not use and remember who gave to me this bear.”

FALLACY: because I’m not sure if I can do that to control my feelings and
to don’t use or hug my teddy bears.

2. Appeal to ignorance-
Answer:

No one can actually prove that God exists; therefore God does not exist.

FALLACY: God does not exist.

3. Tu Quoque Fallacy-
Answer:
Parent: “You have to clean your room, it’s too messy.” Child: “But your
room is messy too, so why should I listen to you?”

FALLACY: the rooms is messy


II. Analyze the given examples of fallacies below. Identify which category does it belong.
