We Recommend

Well, the Expedition is best known for its impressive capabilities like towing, off-roading, ruggedness,
and superior power figures from its V6 motor, and these highlighted points you were getting in all the
trim levels. However, if you want to add some comfort and luxury to your ride, the King Ranch will
better give a value-for-money package.

Along with the tremendous capabilities you are getting luxurious amenities like leather seats with
heating function, premium audio system, remote engine start, and many more, which we think is fair.
And we recommend investing your money in its AWD trim levels, which can further enhance your
driving experience and off-roading capabilities.

Engine and Performance

The 2015 Ford Expedition is now powered by a 3.5L twin-turbocharged V6 motor which is capable
enough to power this bulky giant. The motor produces 365 horsepower and 420 lb-ft. of torque, and
mated with a standard 6-speed automatic gearbox. The SUV is offered in both rear-wheel drives as
well as all-wheel drive options, which differ in price by almost $3000 in every trim level.

This turbocharged motor is quite enthusiastic which can accelerate this massive structure from 0-60
MPH in just 6.3 seconds, which is faster than many of its rivals and can complete a quarter-mile
distance in less than 15 seconds.

The power figures of all the SUVs are quite impressive, but the Expedition benefited with
turbochargers and churn out class-leading power figures. Not only does it have higher power figures,
but it is also the fastest in competition to accelerate from 0-60 MPH or to complete a quarter-mile
distance.

The GMC Yukon is quite sluggish to accelerate. The top speed of Chevy Tahoe is limited to only 100
MPH while that of Armada can reach up to 120 MPH.

Fuel Economy

The 2015 Ford Expedition might not impress you with its fuel economy, moreover, this range of SUVs
is so inefficient. The Expedition’s 3.5L motor delivers an economy of 15 MPG in the city and almost 20
on highways, and with the fuel tank capacity of 28 gallons, you can expect a driving range of over 400
miles in the city and over 550 miles on the highways.

The Expedition has decent fuel economy while that of Tahoe and Yukon leads the class with combined
MPG figures of 18. The tanks of Expedition and the Armada are voluminous which helps them quite
well to enhance their driving range. However, the Expedition has a superior driving range while that of
Armada doesn’t last long with a full tank.

Is the interior of the 2015 Ford Expedition a nice place to be in?

The cabin of the 2015 Ford Expedition has an ample amount of room inside, which provides three-row
seating and can accommodate 8 passengers comfortably. The cabin aesthetics have perfectly
reflected the ruggedness of the SUV with a selection of high-quality materials and excellent fit and
finish.

The dashboard and the center console make the driving position very commanding, where they are
finished in soft-touch materials from the top. The strips of brushed silver on the dashboard and some
wooden treatment at the center give a premium look and feel. However, the center area is cluttered
with lots of buttons and knobs which look somewhat outdated, but they are good in terms of
practicality.

Coming to its seating capacity and comfort, you can comfortably fit 8 adults here with an ample
amount of room for everyone. The seats are wrapped in brown leather upholstery except for the XLT
trim, which gets fabric upholstery. The King Ranch and the Platinum trims got power adjustments
along with heating function at the front, while the other two trims feature manual adjustments only.

It provides pretty good trunk space even with all the rows up, however, by folding the third-row seats,
the volume increases to 55 cu-ft. which is more than enough to carry luggage for 5.

Are the 2015 Ford Expedition’s looks enough to attract buyers?

The exterior design of the 2015 Ford Expedition looks very boxy and rugged with minimal design
elements and bold looks. The SUV is designed more for practicality rather than attractive aesthetics
from the outside.

The front fascia of this SUV looks very bold and muscular. The headlamps feature a projector and
halogen combination setup which perfectly aligns with the massive chrome grille. The lower part of the
bumper also got some silver treatments with the LED fog lamps.

From the side profile, it looks bulky and tall. With the massive wheel arches and the dark tinted glass,
it looks like a perfect rugged off-roader SUV. The window liners and the mirror are treated with chrome
which highlights its looks. It gets 20-inches aluminum-alloy wheels with a kind of low-profile tires, while
the XLT trim gets 18-inch alloys.

From the rear, it has a simplistic design with all dark tinted glass which absolutely enhances its looks
and maintains a cooler cabin as well. The Expedition badging on a thick chrome strip highlights its
name.
