My phone has been tapped: Karnataka Lokayukta

BANGALORE: Karnataka Lokayukta Justice
Santosh N Hegde, probing the illegal mining in the
state, has claimed his phone has been tapped.

Hegde, a former Supreme Court judge, said that
after reports of alleged bugging in the office of
Union finance minister Pranab Mukherjee, he had
asked a professional to carry out a check in his
office.

"(The professional) told me your telephone has
been tapped. Every thing was being recorded from
two sources," he said.

Hegde said he does not want to comment on
"where, who and other things" regarding the
tapping but is sure it's been tapped.

Telephone tapping was noticed in the past three-four months, Hegde said.

"Yes, I can say in affirmative that I suspect......the person told me this is being tapped and recorded
in two places," he said.

If RSS doing good job for India then why they didn't take any action against his child
(yeddy), his corruption not new, this is just that Lokayukt giving full evidence, but
being an patriotic they should have taken action ASAP, and what other good work
you are talking about RSS? they are the no 1 hater in this country, who spreading
hate and violence in this country in the name of religious, and only some fool people
blindly following them. get your fact right, there activity is very minimal and for some

BJP, which always claims itself to be a "party with difference", is adopting the
Congress culture in more than one aspect. This includes State units are not given
any power and for each and every step, the poor State units have to turn towards
the so-called high command in New Delhi. When Scams like 2g Spectrum, Adarsh
Housing Society (Mumbai) and Commonwealth Games eruped from the Centre,
BJP's voice was heard louder than any other party. Well and good and that should
be the way BJP has to react, no second opinion on that. Now, one of its Chief
Ministers, quite rightly mentioned by BKSingh as the product of RSS, stands indicted
by Lok Ayuktha. Mr BSY did all he can to safeguard himself against this indictment,
but in vain. Now, the general public of this country are very keen to watch - as to
what would be the reaction of BJP top brass against this corruption. If BSY is again
let off the hook and BJP succumbs to his caste-based (Lingaayat) strength, then
BJP will henceforth lose its morality to raise its voice against corruption. There could
not be two different yardsticks for Congress corruption and BJP corruption.
Corruption cannot be a part of patriotism.

Definitely, people who involved in this will harm you at any time. Please take
maximum protection for yourself and for your family members before you submit
your report. When they are ready to harm you physically, this phone tapping is
nothing. As you said in an interview all the political parties are involved, the threat to
your life will be definitely more. So please take care.

This is also a biggest scam of the country. The loss estimated
(Rs.1627 crores is the royalty amount that should have been paid to
the state)is in the range of Rs. 3,63,000 crores. The current royalty
payable is 0.5% of the value of iron ore per ton. In the years of 2008-
2010, the average rate per ton was about $175 and the royalty
payable per ton was $0.875. In Rupees terms, this works to about
Rs.40. For the estimated royalty loss of Rs.1827 crores, the total
amount of illegal ore transported to China is about 73,00,000 tons
multiplied by Rs.6700 which equals to 4,89,000 crores. This is much
higher than the 2G scam!
