INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED, Manufacturing company is present by me under
guidance of Mr. Akhilesh Jain on the completion of 45 days internship work at
Bridgestone India private Limited Mother office Kheda Growth Centre, post,
pPithampur, Dist. Dhar Madhya Pradesh. The study was undertaken as a part
of the course curriculum of MBA 2nd semester (full-time) of GOVINDRAM
SEKSARIA INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT & RESEARCH Indore affiliated to
University Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV), Indore. This project does not
contain any part of any work which has been submitted for the award of any
degree either in this university or in any other University without proper
citation.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The project report is about my internship in the respected company BRIDGESTONE INDIA
PRIVATE LIMITED TIRES MANUFACTURING COMPANY as a MANAGEMENT TRAINEE. The
internship duration in this company is 45 days which started from April 18th to May
31th,2022. Bridgestone Its a multinational company Group has 181 production facilities in
24 countries. Bridgestone is a world-famous tire manufacturer headquartered in Tokyo,
Japan. The company has manufacturing plants in different countries, and their tires are
considered among the “best” in the market. During my internship in the company, I get the
knowledge about what the manufacturing company and what the company work. This
internship helps me in knowing about how the work goes in corporate world as well as in
manufacturing. company and its also help me in improving my skills like communication
skills, time management and managing all thinks regarding work. I get knowledge a bout
how Accounting & Finance department work. The working culture in the organization is very
flexible as well as friendly environment. The details which I going to cover in my project
report is that about the organization, its philosophy and objective then. I discuss with
department description then I discuss with Strength & Weaknesses of the organization then
I discuss with suggestions and recommendations then I discuss whatever work I have done
in the organization the I discuss with overview what work I learn in the organization. In the
end I discuss with conclusion and last it was ending with reference.

At last, I want to tell that my purpose of doing my internship is that to grow my working
skills as well as to grow my accounting & finance knowledge which helps me in my future. I
also want to express my working experience in my summer internship report. At last, the
internship taught me about accounting with that all basic process and purpose of doing it.

ABOUT THE ORGANISATION


Bridgestone is a world-famous tire manufacturer headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. The
company has manufacturing plants in different countries, and their tires are considered
among the “best” in the market. The Bridgestone tires are primarily made in the company’s
headquarter in Japan. But then, Bridgestone tires are also made in other countries, including
the United States, Belgium, Australia, Brazil, China, etc. Bridgestone Its a multinational
company Group has 181 production facilities in 24 countries. Bridgestone Tire as a brand
and where the tires are manufactured globally.

Bridgestone Tires Brand Overview -


At the moment, Bridgestone is the largest tire manufacturer globally. It stays ahead of
Michelin and other top brands when it comes to capacity. Bridgestone tires have been
around for a long time – the company produces different types of tires for different vehicles.
Even so, Bridgestone tires are used as OE tires by some top auto brands. Customers have
validated that Bridgestone tires really perform well on all road times, including snowy
tracks. The company uses special technologies and compounds to fortify its tires for heavy-
duty applications. All Bridgestone manufacturing facilities are equipped with cutting-edge
equipment for producing different types of tires.

The tires are made in official Bridgestone manufacturing facilities in different countries.
Bridgestone has manufacturing plants in over 47 countries. The company has manufacturing
plants in at least three countries in each continent. In numbers, Bridgestone has 19 raw
materials plants, 40+ active tire plants, 29 tire-related plants, and 4 technical centres.

2.1 PHILOSOPHY OF COMPANY


The philosophy of Bridgestone private limited Manufacturing company has manufacture
philosophy. The Bridgestone Group's mission is based on the words of its founder: “Serving
Society with Superior Quality.” To fulfil this mission, Bridgestone Group has used the
concept of “foundation” to demonstrate the sustained commitment of employees to
provide its customers with world class products and services and to serve the communities

OBJECTIVE OF INTERNSHIP
i. The main objective of Internship is to get the essential knowledge of accounting &
finance in the widespread accounting sector.

ii. It includes checking of voucher, filling, scanning, arrangement of file.


iii. Also understanding the terms in theoretical manner that apply in accounting, finance
& taxation.

iv. Gain the knowledge of Account payable, Invoices, RGP & NRGP, Import & Export.

v. Include work order, purchase order, contract order.

vi. With detail of Migos & Miro, PR, PO, GRN.

CONCEPT OF ACCOUNTING DEPARTMENT


Accounting Department Definition The accounting department refers to the division in a
firm that looks after the preparation of financial statements, maintenance of general ledger,
payment of bills, preparation of customer bills, payroll, and more. In other words, they are
responsible for managing the overall economic front of the business.

They are responsible for managing financial accounting task such as preparing reports,
budgets, inventory, they oversee the day-to-day accounting activities & assign tasks to other
employees in the department. they provide accurate financial report & analysis.

The function of the accounting department


Its focus on day-to-day financial activities the inflow & outflow of money in the company.
deals with processing of all accounting information
In which they record

 ACCOUNT PAYABLE / CASH DISBURSEMENT- it refers to the money that goes


out from business & is recorded as a liability. Accounting department keep record of the
goods & services that your company pays for and ensures that all your business
expenses get paid on time. they keep track all scheduled payment in the organization,
such as inventory, payroll& other business-related expenses. There receives invoice from
vendor records them & then payment check. deal with supplier/ vender. invoice paper-
intensive task.

 ACCOUNT RECEIVABLE- it refers to the money that comes in from business & is
recorded as a profit. Accounting department keep record of the goods & services that
your company charge for and ensures that all your business money receive on time. they
keep track all scheduled receivable in the organization, deal with supplier/ vender.

 TAX - Payment of government taxes on behalf of the company in another function


performed by the accounting department. Qualified accountant in the accounting
department assesses your taxes & ensure you stay compliant with the latest tax rules.
Failure to make tax payment at the appropriate time is costly & can find them delves
attract a steep penalty. tax evasion is a crime, accounting department ensure that your
business does not miss a tax dealing.

 INVOICE COST MANAGEMENT - Inventory refers to the total number of goods that
a company own in its warehouse or building. accounting department responsible for
inventory coat management. keep track- labor, raw materials & other overhead factors.

 CASH COLLECTIONS & SYSTEMAIC RECORD KEEPING- Accounting department


is responsible for identifying tracking & recording all cash receivable from sales & other
sources in company. ensure that money is paid into the accurate checking account. Key
function of every accounting department is systematic record-keeping of company
financial transaction.

 BUDGETING- ACCOUNTING DEPARTMENT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ENSURING THAT


OTHER DEPARTMENTS IN THEY COMAPNY " STAY WITH THE LIMIT OF THE COMPANY
BUDGET " Tracks expenses and other transaction to protect the company from excessive
spending. Budgeting should be based on both cash & accrual basis. " Accrual account is
an accounting method where revenue or expenses are recorded when transaction
accrue rather than when payment is received or made.

 REPORTING & FINANCIAL STATEMENT- Companies depends on these financial


reports to make better decisions, another function that the accounting department plays
is the delivery of financial statement. collect financial information is to prepare accurate
reports & financial statements. companies depend on these financial reports to make
better decisions. these reports prepared by accounting internet communications.
Accounting department is also responsible for producing end-of-the year financial
statements.

 LEGAL COMPLIANCE & FINANCIAL CONTROL - Every accounting department


needs to master is tracking & staying obedient with relevant financial law.

OVERVIEW & LEARNING


I would really appreciate and grateful that I have done this internship and the effort of my
mentor during this internship Mr. Akhilesh Jain, for making me learn all the possible
learnings within a short span of time. and after completing the internship & as being a
fresher in the industry I am sure that I can make a balanced career in the widespread scope
of this accounting industry.

Learn the process of accounting, Tax implementation on import and export, learn about the
accuracy of number and details, learn corporate culture, develop management skill, gain
confidence, develop presentation skill, learn how to handle workload & pressure, learn
about communication in corporate, understand the organization structure, Hikari of the
accounting department and their work flow, Arrangement of files/filling. there sequence of
filling. Understanding terms and condition and implementation of work. there work was
very detail oriented. There is no gap for any mistake. This 45 day was great learning days for
me. I feel glad If I get chance to work with Bridgestone again as a Bridgestone family. I am
taking with me lots of experience which defiantly help me and guide me in future. Objective
to work more briefly on my skill of accounting & finance.

In a nutshell, I can conclude that there have been a lot I have learn. And by understandings
toward the job has also increased. and there are some aspects that I could have done better
and I will work on them, and the things that I learned & observes about my experience while
doing this internship is being confident about you & your learnings, at least trying out new
things by yourself first and needed then ask for guidance from your superior. At the last. I
would like to Thanks Mr. Akhilesh Jain.

SUGGESTION

It's difficult to write this part of the project as every think is up-to date in this organization.
But still some improvements can be done on which the organization can work to be more
effective & efficient.

CONCLUSION

My overall experience throughout the summer internship is really wonderful. I would


appreciate the efforts which our organization head and my senior has put in for making us
learn all these things within a short span of time.

After going through this internship, I am sure that wherever I work in future this internship
will help me a lot. Before joining to this internship, I do not know about Accounting &
Finance department. and My perspective about Accounting & Finance department is
different before joining but after joining to BRIDGESTONE INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED TIRES
MANUFACTURING. COMPANY as intern I know lot about that field in live working, I get
practical knowledge.
