Scratch Level-2

What is the course about?


● Scratch level-2 course is conducted on MIT Scratch platform. This course is for those
who have already done Scratch level-1 or who have basic knowledge of MIT Scratch
platform.
● In this course, students will learn the advanced concepts of coding using block-based
programming. Through the visual programming interface the students will learn to
create complex and multi-level games such as platformer games.
● For kids of age 7+, we always recommend MIT Scratch as the first platform to begin
their coding journey. Since, it appears so colorful and a friendly platform for the kids
to bring their imaginations into real projects.It is all about their limitless creativity and
imagination to make things happen through coding.

What will the student learn?


● Kids will understand advanced coding concepts like variables, operators, lists and
functions. That should be an essential skill for every coder and helps them to step
further in their coding journey. They will understand these concepts using drag and
drop programming.
● Kids will understand the concept of gravity and physics that are used in making
games in a fun learning way.
● Students will learn to create many more complex games that involve more variables,
data types, functions that develop their computational skills and critical thinking skills.

Any projects which students will do?
Capstone projects:- Basic Platformer game, flappy bird game, tic-tac-toe game, pac-man
game, Snakes and ladders game, Gravity based games, multi-level games.

Prerequisite for this course: Students should have basic knowledge of MIT Scratch
platform including, Motion, Look, Sound Control and Sensing block.
