Admission to MBA and MBA IB programs session 2021-23

Online Personal Interview Schedule

1. Schedule for Online PI: 17, 18, 19, 20, 22& 23, March 2021 organized by theInstitute of Management
Studies, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi.

3. Important Instructions to the candidates:

As part of the admission process of MBA and MBA (International Business) programs for Batch 2021-
23, candidates shortlisted based on Total Percentile Score in CAT 2020 (list displayed on the website of
the Institute) are required to appear for Personal Interview on the scheduled date and time as
detailed above.
Due to the pandemic situation and related prevailing inconveniences, Group Discussion will not be
conducted as part of the admission process.

Before appearing in the Personal Interview, the candidates are advised to satisfy themselves
regarding the minimum eligibility requirement as laid down on page 2 of the Information Bulletin
2021-23 (click here to download).

Admission to the MBA and MBA IB programs of the Institute for batch 2021-2023 shall be made based
onthe combined merit of the candidates in CAT conducted by IIM (50%), Academic Records
(35%) and Personal Interview (15 %).

Non-appearance in Personal Interview on the scheduled date and time shall disqualify candidates for
admission to the program. Mere issuance of call letter for PI and appearance in the PI Process will not
entitle a candidate for admission unless he/she satisfies all the eligibility criteria to this effect.

The Institute will not be responsible for any delay in communication/ other network issues. The
information is being emailed to the candidates'registered email id, mentioned in the program's
admission application form.

4. The candidate's responsibility is for his/her presence for online Personal Interview on the allotted date
and time slots with the below-listed instructions to follow:

i. Candidates are required to put on formal dress for the Interview.

ii. Candidates are required provide their Whatsapp nos. through the Google Form (Click here)
iii. Must place himself/herself in such a way to have adequate light on his/her face. Keep
microphone to ensure audio is clear and camera for video.
iv. At the beginning of the Interview, candidate's snap will be taken with Aadhar Card. The
candidate must clearly show their Adhaar Card in the snap.
v. Candidates must keep their gadgets fully charged and ensure network connectivity and
availability of DATA. The Institute will not be responsible for any related issues.
vi. Candidates will be informed about the platform and link for joining the Interview well in
time.
 vii. Candidates will be prompted for their readiness beforethe commencement of the Interview
through the WhatsApp group.
viii. Candidates need to wait for their turn.
IX. Candidates are strictly advised to join the online Interview as and when prompted to join as
prior or delayed joining may create technical glitches.
5. Candidates need to dully fill the Google form for smooth conduction of online interview.
6. Any attempt by the candidate or any else on his/her behalf to influence and/or pressurize any
authority/Admission Committee or University directly/indirectly for his/her admission out of rules
shall disqualify the candidate from the provisional admission. Such candidates shall also be liable to be
prosecuted under the law of the land.

7. The result of the process will be communicated to the successful candidates for deposition of fee
within the stipulated time limit after online verification of documents and counseling. An offer of
admission will be governed by the preference lock done by the candidate progressively.
