bank to the two motors, then the rheostat to the load resistor, then the multimeter,
switch load and then the torque meter.
DISCUSSION
In conclusion, we discovered and noted the key distinctions between a DC shunt
motor and a DC series motor, and we discovered when to use each type of motor.
Regarding the dc separately excited generator, we studied its operation's
fundamentals and became familiar with some of the parameters that are used to
assess dc motor generator performance. As a result, we came to understand many
significant relationships between these parameters, and we learned how to take
accurate measurements while altering one and observing the impact on the others.
CONCLUSION
Finally, to modify If the field windings are connected in series with an external
resistance. As the field current is reduced, the motor's speed increases, and speed
control above the base speed is achieved. The speed versus armature current
characteristic is depicted. Changing the armature circuit resistance affects both
current and flux. The voltage drop in the variable resistance reduces the applied
voltage to the armature, lowering the motor's speed.
