Japan Education
Currently, education is one of the things that can be used as a benchmark to achieve
the success and progress of a country. Each country must have its own characteristics
in implementing its education system. Japan is one of the countries that holds the title
as the country with the best education system. This is evidenced by the rapid
development of technological, economic progress and the superiority of the education
system in Japan. Therefore, not a few people are eager to study in the country of
Sakura.
The education system in Indonesia is not much different from Japan. The level of
education in Indonesia is almost the same as in Japan, namely 6 years of elementary
school, 3 years of junior high school, 3 years of high school, and 2-4 years of college.
There are also some similarities in matters of moral education and personality
between Japan and Indonesia. The difference is, if in Indonesia it is included in the
subjects of religion and character, Japan instead of providing special subjects to teach
about moral education and character, it chooses to apply it in everyday life. The most
visible difference is from ethics and discipline, where the ethics and discipline level
of Indonesian students are very lacking. One of the fundamental differences between
the education systems in Japan and Indonesia is the learning material, the Japanese
learning material is much less which makes students feel more focused and not
pressured by the lesson. The education system in Japan teaches students to start
thinking critically in every teaching and learning activity, this can make students have
more insight.
Completion of the education system in Indonesia must exist. It is very clear that the
education system in Indonesia still has many weaknesses compared to Japan. Even
though the government is currently still working on improving the Indonesian
education system, it cannot be denied that there are still many weaknesses in several
aspects and also the uneven distribution of education in Indonesia. A disciplined and
superior education system needs to be implemented in Indonesia. The education
system in Japan can be an example for the process of developing the education
system in Indonesia.
