UNIT 7: What do you like doing


Lesson 2 + 3
Date: 25/09/2022
I. Objective
By the end of the lesson student are able to:
- Distinguish the pronunciation of the letters fl and pl.
- Competences: asking and answering about someone’s hobbies
- Sentence patterns: What’s your hobby? I like + V-ing + (noun)
- Remember vocabulary: swimming, cooking, collecting stamps, riding
a bike, playing badminton, flying a kite, taking photographs, watching
TV.
II. Teaching aids
- TV, board.

- Students may have limited linguistic when they answer the questions.

- Ask the student to turn to page 48 of the book.
- Exercise 1: Look listen and repeat (Track 56)
-The teacher let the kids repeat the dialogue
slowly several times.
- Give kids 5 mins to write down the dialogue into
the notebook. Underline new word with a red pen:
hobby, club.
- Exercise 2: Point and say (Track 57)

-Give kids 2 mins to write down new words in to


the notebook: riding a bike, playing badminton,
flying a kite, taking a photos, watching TV.
- Teach kids when to use them
(Ask TA to translate into Vietnamese)
- Exercise 3: Let’s talk

- Give kids 2 mins to write down the answer


Practice:
Work with a partner (15 mins)
Groups of 2 kids will write a greetings dialogue of
around 5-6 sentences. Then each group acts out
the dialogue in front of the class. (Tell TA to
video it)
Ex:
K1: What’s your name?
K2: My name’s Di Di
K1: What is your hobby?
K2: I like watching TV. and you?
K1: I like playing badminton

- Exercise 4: Listen and number (track 58)

-Correct answer
- Exercise 5: Look and write

- Give kids the time to write down the dialogue in


to the notebook.
- Correct answers.
- Exercise 6: Let’s play
