Allah is the Creator

 
 
Praise be to God, the Creator, the All-Powerful, the All-Forgiving, He created us and perfected
our forms, and made for us hearing, hearts, and sights. (If you (try to) count the bounties of
Allah, you cannot count them all. Indeed, man is highly unjust, very ungrateful).

And I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, alone, who has no partner, He has laid
mountains and made the rivers flow, and I bear witness that our leader Muhammad is His chosen
servant and His Messenger, may Allah bless him, his family and his good companions.

After that,
I advise you and myself to fear Allah, He said:

‫َد ٍة‬ ‫ح‬

ِ ‫ِن نَ ْفسٍ َوا‬ ْ ‫خلَ َقك‬
ْ ‫ُم م‬ َ ‫ُم الَّذِي‬
ُ ‫وا َربَّك‬ ‫اس اتَّ ُق‬
ُ ‫ا ال َّن‬ ‫يَاَأيُّ َه‬

“Men, fear your Lord who created you from a single soul, and from it created its match, and
spread many men and women from the two. Fear Allah in whose name you ask each other (for
your rights), and fear (the violation of the rights of) the womb-relations. Surely, Allah is
watchful over you”.

Brothers in Islam,
Faith in Allah varies in the hearts, and how much comforting to live with a high faith that
attaches the soul of the earthly body to its Lord and Creator, and what we need is a remembrance
of Allah the Almighty that softens hearts and increases faith. And with this faith, the power of
Satan is defeated.

Today, our talk is about our Creator, Glory be to Him, and may the praise be to Him.

We will discuss about a name of Allah, that’s the Creator.

Islamic scholars mentioned a rule regarding the names of Allah that: “Every name of Allah
necessitates an attribute”.

And the attribute of the name, the Creator, was recognized even by polytheists, as the Almighty
said:
﴿ ]87 :‫﴾ [الزخرف‬  َ‫ َولَِئ ْن َسَأ ْلتَهُ ْم َم ْن َخلَقَهُ ْم لَيَقُولُ َّن هَّللا ُ فََأنَّى يُْؤ فَ ُكون‬.
﴿ ]61 :‫﴾ [العنكبوت‬  َ‫س َو ْالقَ َم َر لَيَقُولُ َّن هَّللا ُ فََأنَّى يُْؤ فَ ُكون‬
َ ‫ض َو َس َّخ َر ال َّش ْم‬ َ ْ‫ت َواَأْلر‬ َ َ‫ َولَِئ ْن َسَأ ْلتَهُ ْم َم ْن َخل‬.
ِ ‫ق ال َّس َما َوا‬

“And if you ask them as to who has created them, they will certainly say, “Allah”. Then, to
where are they driven back (by their false desires)?”

“If you ask them as to who has created the heavens and the earth and has subjugated the sun and
the moon, they will certainly say, “Allah”. How then are they driven aback (by their whims?)”.
Al-Khattabi, may God have mercy on him, said: “The Creator is the one who creates and invents
something without its previous example.”.

Beloveds,
The name, the Creator, has appeared singularly in the Holy Qur’an eight times:
ِ َ‫ق ْالب‬
﴿ ]24 :‫﴾ [الحشر‬  ‫ارُئ‬ ُ ِ‫هُ َو هَّللا ُ ْالخَ ال‬.

"He is Allah, the Creator, the Inventor".

And as in His saying:

ُ ِ‫هَّللا ُ خَال‬.
﴿ ]16 :‫﴾ [الرعد‬ ‫ق ُك ِّل َش ْي ٍء‬
“Allah is the Creator of everything”.

And the name, Khallaque, (the, Creator) of Allah, came twice in the Holy Qur’an:
﴿ ]86 :‫﴾ [الحجر‬ ‫ق ْال َعلِي ُم‬
ُ ‫ك هُ َو ْالخَ اَّل‬
َ َّ‫ِإ َّن َرب‬.
“Surely, your Lord is the Creator of all, the All-Knowing”.

And in joining the name, Khallaque, (the, Creator) with the name, Aleem, (the, All-Knowing) is
an indication that He created things out of His knowledge. He knows what to create, when to
create and what is the wisdom and logic behind creating any thing. He did not create anything in
vain.
