Let us check
Assessment:

1. Cite examples of your personal experiences in the past that may somehow explain
your present situation.

- Many people have experience anxiety in their life just as me. I always hear how
people think anxiety isn’t real. How it’s just “in someone’s head” and not real. People
look at you weird when they find out you suffer from anxiety. They don’t understand
the daily struggle. They just don’t know and if only they did…As having an anxiety in
your life, it is not easy. A very, very heavy umbrella closing around my head.
An intense fear of being in a situation where I don’t know anyone. Worried about
judgment from others; for example, I worry that people might view me as standoffish.
It makes me feel like I don’t want to go out and talk to anyone. I would always rather
stay at home and curl up on the sofa, or bury myself in jobs around the house to
distract myself from any social demands.

2. What personal problems have you encountered that became a social issue in the
future?

- As I've mentioned above, I have been suffering from anxiety. Anxiety has never been
new to anyone else nowadays, thus, it is very rampant, especially among the youth.
Mainly because we, the youth are being pressured by the standard society sets. We
pressure ourselves because of the expectations of the people towards us. Sometimes,
our future is also affected because of the pressure they put on us. That we need to be
like this and that. Little did they know that they become the dictator of our life. And
these all affect our mental health. This social issue is no joke. As a result, let us all help
each other because our feelings are all valid. As much as we could, let us all be extra
kind to one another. Because that's the least that we can do for people.
3. How did you cope with the different social issues, using your own personal
experiences?

- Maintaining a positive self-image and emotional equilibrium while adjusting to or

tolerating unpleasant events or realities is the typical definition of coping. Coping
happens when perceived stressful life changes are present. I cope-with this social
issues by facing my fears and don’t hide them, avoid avoidance, promote positivity, find
meaning, and practicing self-compassion. I take some time to ponder on my current
circumstances.
