Dredging Project in Buntal and Sematan

Dredging is a process of excavating either naturally deposited sediments or artificial

debris such as rocks, bottom sediments, construction debris, refuse, and plant or
animal matter on the bottom of either shallow seawater or freshwater.

The project is conducted by doing sound survey. This kind of method is used to
measure the depth below the water surface with the help of the global positioning
system (GPS).

The benefits of conducting the survey is for the safety of navigation. This allows ships
or boats to safely travel in and out of ports, saving lives and property and protecting
the environment.
