Assignment 2 (SPREADSHEET SOFTWARE) 20%

Due Date: WEEK 9

Task

This individual assignment requires students to create a sales performance


worksheet which consists of a salesperson’s achievement in selling computers and the
commissions earned using a spreadsheet software. As a Sales Executive in your
organisation, you need this sales performance worksheet to help you to manage and
monitor your achievement in your monthly sales. This worksheet also keeps a record of
the amount of money collected from your sales. It provides an insight into your self-
performance of doing your work as a Sales Executive.

Objective

The main purpose of this assignment is for students to apply the knowledge and skills
they have learned specifically in spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excel or
Google Sheets. The content of the assignment will gauge student's ideas on computing
applications in their daily life. Computers are everywhere and obviously being used not
only in our daily life but also in work by other industries. Students are expected to
gradually acquire better understanding on the importance of the technology skills in
supporting other industries for better productivity and efficiency during the assignment
implementation.

Method

1. All the details of the sales commission based on the computers sold must be
created using spreadsheet software only (Example: Google Sheet or Microsoft
Excel).
2. Follow the stated requirements below while creating your sales and commissions
record.

3. The output of this assignment should come in the form of a spreadsheet file created
using a spreadsheet software.
Requirements:

1. Open the attached file (COMPUTER SALES PERFORMANCE.xlsx). You will find the
list of computers based on processor types, the selling price and commission in the
PRICE & COMMISSION sheet. Assuming you have successfully sold the number of
computers as given below:

January 2022 :
12 units of i5 Intel Processors, 13 units of i7 Intel Processors, 7 units of AMD Ryzen
3 Processors, 16 units of Ryzen 5 Processors, 6 units of Ryzen 7 Processors

February 2022 :
12 units of i3 Intel Processors, 13 units of i5 Intel Processors, 13 units of i7 Intel
Processors, 11 units of AMD Ryzen 5 Processors, 7 units of AMD Ryzen 7
Processors

March 2022 :
14 units of i3 Intel Processors, 10 units of i7 Intel Processors, 11 units of AMD Ryzen
5 Processors, 12 units of AMD Ryzen 7 Processors

2. Refer to the SALES TARGET sheet. Change the title in cell A1 from SALES
TARGET: JANUARY - MARCH 2022 to SALES: JANUARY – MARCH 2022. Update
the table and include your sales collection and commissions earned based on
Requirement 1 above for the month of January 2022 to March 2022 in your
worksheet. Rename the sheet as JAN-MAR SALES. Total up the amount of sales
collection and commission for each month.
a) You need to insert three (3) charts (any appropriate type) to visualize your sales
collection tabulation for each month.

3. Combine all three (3) months of your sales record tables into a new sheet.
a) Name your new sheet as JAN-MAR TOTAL SALES
b) Total up all the sales collection and commissions you earned for the three (3)
months. Find the Average, Min and Max of total sales and commissions for each
processor type using functions. Label the Average, Min and Max of your total sales
collected and commissions earned.
b) You need to insert one (1) chart (any appropriate type) to visualize your sales
performance record for the three months.

4. You are required to write a justification report (not more than 80 words) based on the
pattern/chart of the three months of your sales performance in a new sheet at cell A1.
Name the sheet as REPORT.

5. Format all the tables nicely using Table Style.

6. Insert a Header:

Left side: Student Name, Student ID

Right side: Submission Date
