As technology continues to progress, careers in accounting information systems are

being created. For this discussion take a moment to explore some of the new career
paths in accounting information systems. In the discussion forum, post an initial

Explain which accounting information systems career path interests you.

One of the newest and most important occupations in the world is that of a data analyst, which I believe
is the one that most fascinates me professionally.

Discuss why this career interests you.

Since I think that having a data analyst is the way of the future for every large organization, this is a
career that interests me. The data analyst will be required more and more since he can provide ever-
more cutting-edge information on the goods that are sold, on the costs, and on the interests of
customers. Furthermore, it has important company responsibilities rather than serving as a pawn with
programming skills like many other employees do.

Explain if the accounting information system position you chose can or cannot be used
in your country.

Data analysts are in significant demand in Ethiopia, even if just by very large, contemporary
organizations or mostly IT companies. The biggest prospects in Ethiopia right now, according to a buddy
of mine who earned a master's degree in two years after earning his degree as a software engineer, are
in the pharmaceutical industry because these companies need to continuously integrate and analyze
large amounts of data. It's a very intriguing career, even though the field I'd most like to work in is
commerce and finance. This is now his top priority because it would help him gain valuable experience
for his resume before joining a for-profit firm. In any case, I've already learnt from talking to him that
this job requires specific skills like patience and persistence because if you don't, you'll end up with a
daily headache.
