MY PARENT’S LOVE JOURNEY
In 1995, my parents met at a videoke bar. Upon seeing my mother, my father got
interested with her and insisted on making a conversation with my mother. Eventually, she
enjoyed my father’s company and they get to know each other more. Even after that night,
they constantly get in touch through a common friend. My father decided to court my
mother, and after 7 months of courtship, she said yes to him at a calachuchi near the
Catholic Parish Church. At that time, my mother already had my older brother and sister
from her previous relationship, but my father accepted them. After two years, they both
decided to live under the same roof. Unfortunately, they never got married because my
father was still married to his previous wife, from whom he estranged years before meeting
my mother. Shortly months later, my mother was not expecting that she will get pregnant
with me but was still happy. In the year 2000, I was born and my father was delighted upon
seeing me, and named me Angel. Even though I already had two younger brothers and a
sister, they are still not married because of some conflicts, and unfortunately, my father
passed away in the year 2018.
