BRIGADA ESKWELA 2021 Accomplishment Report
I. INTRODUCTION
Sinala Elementary School is one of institution in Bauan East District actively

participated in Brigada Eskwela also known as the National School Maintenance Week
aligned with Annual Implementation Plan (AIP) of Programs, Projects and Activities in
partnership with Bauan Local Government Unit (LGU). Brigada Eskwela 2021 with a theme
“Bayanihan Para sa Paaralan” in accordance to DepEd Memorandum No. 048 s.2021 will
deviate from the traditional concept of Brigada Eskwela in the previous years which involves
physical cleaning, painting, repainting and doing minor repairs, instead it will prioritize
preparations and strengthening partnership engagement to ensure that quality education will
continue despite the challenges posed by Covid-19 pandemic.
While government has the main responsibility of providing free and quality education
for every Filipino child and youth, the community is just an important stake in achieving this
goal. The past school year manifest the quality service and collaboration and partnership with
the LGU that shows support system in the implementation of all DepEd program including
Brigada Eskwela for S. Y. 2020-2021. The highlight of this year’s Brigada Eskwela is the
Brigada Pagbasa which response to the Hamon: Bawat Bata Bumabasa (3Bs Initiatives)
issued through DepEd Memorandum No.173, s. 2019. This is a nationwide reading
movement that aims to bring together all education champions and supporters to contribute to
nation building by helping all Filipino children enhance their reading skills in the context of
partnership. This is to support the DepEd’s goal to provide children access to quality
education.

F. LESSONS LEARNED
That the partnership and school linkages play a significant role in the success and betterment of the
Brigada Eskwela. Each year more and more group of people from all walks of life are very much eager to join in
the endeavor especially this time of pandemic.

G. SUGGESTIONS TO STRENGTHEN BRIGADA ESKWELA PROJECT
Early nationwide dissemination about Brigada Eskwela so that stakeholders and other private
corporations who wants to participate may have ample time to plan their contributions in this important school
event.
