V. PROJECT/ TRAINING DESCRIPTION

1 A. RATIONALE: Relative to DepEd Order No. 43, s.2017 entitled


“Teacher Induction Program (TIP) Policy,” paragraph 2
states that the Department of Education (DepEd) fully
supports the continuing professional development and
progress of the newly hired teachers based on the principle
of lifelong learning and the Department’s commitment to the
development of new and beginning teachers.

Furthermore, Republic Act 10533 or Enhanced


Basic Education Act of 2013 Section 7 states that DepEd
in collaboration with relevant partners in government,
academe, industry, non-government organization (NGOs)
shall conduct teacher education and training programs to
ensure that the enhanced basic education curriculum meets
the demand for quality teachers and school leaders.
Specifically, new teachers shall undergo trainings to upgrade
their skills to the content standards of the K-12 Basic
Education Program (BEP).

Cabuyao Integrated National High School through its


Learning and Development Team strongly supports and
adheres these mandates on the implementation of TIP. The
team do hereby propose to conduct a Face-to-Face
Teachers Induction Program TIP for newly-hired teachers
which is a series of training workshops with its theme,
Strengthening Teachers’ Onboarding and Orientation on
July 18-22, 2022, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm. This program aims to
have a systematic and comprehensive training scheme for
newly hired teachers as part of professional development

toward effective teaching and commitment to the profession.

This training will be participated by newly hired


teachers-these are teachers with zero (0) - three (3) years
experience in the public school system from different subject
areas consisting of 4 male teachers and 4 female teachers.
B. OBJECTIVES:
Generally, the participants of this training will be able
to obtain support and receive assistance to improve their

in teaching.
B.2 ENABLING Specifically, the participants will be able to:

and its learner-centered philosophy of education by writing
one’s own philosophy of teaching that is aligned to DepEd’s
learner-centered philosophy;

their support to school policies and procedures to foster
harmonious relationships with the wider school community;
3. Describe and synthesize teaching as a profession and as
a vocation;
4. Demonstrate awareness of the Magna Carta of Public-
School Teachers in Basic Education and your professional
rights, opportunities, benefits, and responsibilities;
5. Discuss the policy guidelines on protecting children in
school from abuse, violence, exploitation, discrimination,
bullying, and other forms of abuse.
6. Demonstrate understanding of the key provisions of the
code of ethics and become familiar with the responsibilities
of a professional teacher; and describe how the code of
ethics can help or guide a teacher in the day-to-day
performance/tasks of his work, hence resulting to a good
teacher;
7. Familiarize and discuss the seven domains and the
different career stages of the PPST in realizing one’s
professional goals;
8. Understand individual performance and one’s personal
accountability in becoming an effective teacher through the
RPMS; and
