The interconnected systems of Canadian "care" are destroying Indigeneity.

Self-determination, political and cultural independence, and the privilege of keeping and

using one's land and resources are all essential components of indigenous peoples' indigeneity.

We now see the Canadian "care" system as a whole, with all its interwoven parts, as a destructive

force against Indigenous peoples. (Maguire, G. (2022). Their trends and advocacy on behalf of

Canada's indigenous communities are widely regarded as a significant force in the struggle

against Indigeneity. To end the humiliation of its citizens, Canada's "care" system has developed

solutions.

They have achieved their will through the following;

A range of issues and relations of domination and settler colonial relations of

dispossession and heteropatriarchal gender relations often displace indigenous women and,

consequently, their children from their communities. They dont address the indigenous child

welfare policies like youths with first-hand experience of the system. Instead, the foster system is

not merely a side of a broken system. They don’t pay the required attention to the level of

indigenous communities. They don’t prioritize the well-being of children by ensuring that they

cannot stay in their communities, so there is no need for indigenous rights in the future.

Care mechanisms have been introduced to improve "caring" programs for indigenous and

disadvantaged people who cannot fend for themselves. The foster care system is already in

existence. Many indigenous parents choose foster care due to limited budgets. Giving youngsters

enough ancestry knowledge can be depressing without adult supervision and caring. You'll enjoy

a secure, loving home. (Garcia, M. F. (2022)

Some of the challenges foster children face that dampens their enthusiasm for claiming

their heritage include:

Group homes are too often a go-to. Advocacy groups have expressed concern that more

than 56,000 children in child protection systems are housed in institutional settings. Putting kids

in groups by default is controversial because some believe they do better in a family

environment. “We believe all kids who have to be removed from their families should be placed

with other families," Tracey Feild, director of the Child Welfare Strategy, "That’s the most

important criterion for placement -- or it should be." This number of children is well convinced

by the “care system” on how to abandon their land for better places that lead them to inhabit their

backgrounds.

There isn't enough focus on reunification. Foster care is often discussed in terms of

two possible outcomes—adoption or aging out—but reunification with a parent is rarely

mentioned. It’s rather typical, with almost half of all children leaving foster care eventually

rejoining their families. (Calhoun, R. L. F. (2022).)

Way of having a future that does not imagine the erasure of Indigenous children and

youth; Everyone should have access to clean drinking water, which is a significant problem and

issue for the people of Canada. The Canadian government should impress this change to

demoralize the youth from joining the “care” organizations like foster. (Johnston-Goodstar, K.

(2020). Healthy, Safe, and Resilient Indigenous Communities-the Canadian government should

target the issue by Strengthening the Assisted Living Program, which provides daily living

supports to First Nations communities that help people maintain their independence and stay in

their own homes and communities, close to their families and friends. Forgive any outstanding

debts taken out for comprehensive claim negotiation and repay Indigenous governments that

have already returned these loans as part of renegotiating modern treaties, allowing Indigenous

communities to invest in their priorities. (Crosby, A. (2021).
