QC ACTIVITIES:
 Review systems to enable Welding of piping & super heaters; Economizers; Evaporator Coils &
Assemblies, HRSG modules, WHRU – Super heater & Economizer pressure part assemblies, Pressure
Vessels, fulfill the WPS & PQR requirement & NDT Inspection done as per QC plan.
 Deploying repair activity parallel to fabrication to enable completion of projects on time.
 Conducting tests and inspections of pressure vessels, piping and structure as per international standards
like ASME (Sec I, Sec II, Sec V, Sec VIII, Sec IX) & IBR 1950 etc.
 Identifying areas of improvement and recommending process modifications and equipment calibrations to

 Reviewing welding procedures, welder qualification and involved in welding of materials like carbon steel,
low alloy steels and stainless steels.
 Controlling special process such as heat treatment & welding in accordance with code requirements.
 Controlling Preheating, Post Heating, Post bend heat treatment, Post weld heat treatment in accordance
with required code.

REFRACTORY APPLICATION & INSPECTIONS:

 Study of plans and drawings to decide execution philosophy of castable application.
 Reviewing refractory application & Dry out procedures and monitoring of complete process in accordance
with code/standard’s requirements.
 Involving in preparation of Mock-up Sample & testing in accordance with code requirement (API 936, IS
10570, ASTM, EIL, etc.).
 Monitoring mixing of castable as per manufacturer’s recommendation, Preparation of Daily Production
Samples and testing.
