Guidelines for MER 2 Participants

Greetings from MER 2 Service Team!

We all thank the LORD for being of service to you during this event. As your servants, we would like to
ensure that this will be a memorable and fruitful experience for both of you.

Please read the guidelines below for your information:

1. The Venue - Marjan Island Resort & Spa - Ras Al Khaimah, UAE
Theme: “IKAW ANG DAHILAN…”

Participants Arrival starts on Friday, 21-June-2019, at 12:nn. Couple coordinators will collect the
emirate IDs as a requirement of the Hotel Checking In
Check-in time starts at 3:00 p.m. (By Couple coordinators)
Throughout the event, please mention the Group name as Filcom (Filipino Community) and not
CFC. This is to avoid complications to our Parish and Community having religious event outside
church premises.

HOTEL RATE
The agreed amount of 450AED plus 20AED tourism charge with Marjan Hotel c/o Mr Haitham
Asst Director of Sales for MICE and Corporate includes superior room for couple’s (2 adult + 1
child below 6yrs) overnight stay with buffet breakfast and dinner, 2-day room rental for
Ballroom and other equipment related to the event specified in the contract.

If participants wish to upgrade or add adults and children, below are the hotel charges for
reference to be advised before checking in:

Room can order extra bed for nanny or extra adult
Upgrade to Marjan Add 150 Good for 2 adults with 2 children (12yrs above)
Suite AED + can order extra bed for nanny or extra adult

Food: The food will be provided by the hotel for the following:

June 21 (Friday) – Participants should have their lunch before arrival. Light snacks will be
served after talk #1 (coffee/tea, muffins and cookies). Water, coffee, teas will be available
throughout the event (self-service or can be requested to your respective couple coordinators)
- Buffet dinner will be at 6pm as part of hotel package

June 22 (Saturday) – Buffet breakfast at 7am as part of the room reservation package.
Free flowing coffee and tea for the whole event
2. The MER 2 Session

Attire: June 21 (Friday) – Smart Casual/ Sunday Dress

June 22 (Saturday) – Semi-formal (Dress your best!) or as per MER Theme Filipinana
Saturday morning wakeup call at 5:45am

Note: The following outfit should not be worn during this event.
 Tube, spaghetti strap, plunging necklines, backless, micro-mini skirts, tight
fitting clothes
 Shorts, cut-off jeans, t-shirts without collar, jogger pants, slippers, sandals

Please dress decently … this is your special day! 

Stationeries: Pens and notepads will be provided by the hotel.


MER 2 kits will also be provided (MER 2 booklets)

Mobile Phones will be collected before every session by the couple coordinators for the couple
to focus more on the Talks, sharing and activities. Will be returned after the Friday session,
during dinner and upon special request.

Kids Room:
- All kids will be taken care of by our Kids Corner team. Designated rooms will
be provided near the ballroom. Kids will be grouped according to age and
other special requirements. Likewise, kids who will take a nap will be
brought to the room (designated Service Team Headquarters )

- Parents to provide snacks/food for their own kids. Some kid in the kids
corner might have allergies.

- Please provide a baby bag for your kids containing extra shirts, shorts,
towels, milk, diaper, cookies/drinks etc. Special needs of the child should
also be informed to the Kids corner head (Bro Melvin & Sis Rowena
Montevirgen (e.g. medication, allergies, nap time, etc.)

- Please endorse all the kids prior to the session. On dinner time, kindly pick-
up your kids from the kids room (let them eat with you) and bring them
back to the Kids room at the end of the break.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: All room occupancies were as per the declared number of Adults and children
only, named to particular couple. All undeclared occupants will be under couple’s responsibility
including additional hotel charges.

Should you have any concerns, please get in touch with your couple coordinator or anyone from the
service team.
