The Best Holiday Ever

Christmas is one of the best holidays to celebrate. One thing that I love about
Christmas is when all family members are complete during this season. The first
tradition that you will notice that Christmas is near is when people start decorating their
homes as early as September with Christmas tree, lights, Santa Claus, and his
reindeer. It’s a magical landscape to see. Second is when people start listing and
buying gifts for their love ones, goddaughters and sons, uncles, aunties, neighbors,
officemates, and friends. This will not be missed during the Christmas season-the giving
of gifts. Lastly, before midnight everybody is busy preparing food for the “Noche Buena”.
Delicious foods serve such as lechon, hamon, spaghetti, pansit, sopas, salad, adobo,
kinds of seafoods, and fruits. Truly that Christmas is the best holiday ever, when
everyone shares their blessings, spend quality time with each, give love, and most
specially celebrating and remembering the birth of the Jesus Christ our savior.

The New Normal Way of Learning

Modular printed learning is one of the new normal ways of learning since the
COVID-19 pandemic spread in some parts of the world.  The printed module refers to
learning packets (worksheets, activity sheets, self-learning materials). The traditional
face-to-face at this time is highly discouraged as protective measures to lessen the
spread of the virus. Since this is the first time, how does modular printed learning
works? First is the distribution of Self-Learning-Materials, parents will get the SLM in
school for those learners whose parents are not available to get the SLM from schools,
there will be teacher-in charge in certain barangay where parents and students can get
the SLM. Second is the retrieval of activity sheets, parents will submit the activity sheets
in school or to the designated pick-up point. In addition, there is still an assessment of
students’ learning progress. Students will be assessed through written and performance
tasks. All in all, modular printed learning is still manageable from its distribution,
retrieval, and assessment in this new normal way of learning.
