At Round 4 two weeks ago in Silverstone sophomore Nico Mller took his first GP3 victory of the year in Race 1 and in the process stopped an all British triumph - the remaining seven points paying positions were taken up by drivers fighting for home glory. But on the Sunday GP3 gave the sellout crowd something to cheer about when Scotsman Lewis Williamson won his first GP3 Series race ahead of Addax teams Dean Smith and Status Grand Prixs Alexander Sims to lead an all British podium. MW Ardens racer also became the eighth different winner in what is turning out to be a tremendously competitive season.

This weekend the crowd will no doubt be cheering on RSC Mcke Motorsport, as the German team look towards home glory. Team Principal Peter Mcke commented At the first two race weekends everything went well for us, but its been difficult since. If we want to win the Series title which is still our goal we have to fight hard for points at each round. Of course we want to put on a good race for all the German fans. The pressure is bigger, but we are ready for it. Built next to the legendary Nordschleife, the Nrburgring circuit is a demanding track where the cars run with relatively high downforce to achieve the best grip. Completed in 1984, the new Grand prix track has limited overtaking opportunities, with success requiring the maximum commitment from drivers. Pirellis Racing manager mario isola explained: We will bring our GP3 soft tyres which are the best option to combine grip and performance on this technical track which is characterised by medium speed levels and a good mix of slow and fast corners. The main challenge will be the weather which is quite unpredictable. The tyre choice for this round aims to provide drivers with a consistent Sims has now moved into the lead tyre which gives good grip and of the Series after Mitch Evans had road-holding. As the surface a tough weekend in Silverstone is not too abrasive, tyre wear and slipped into second spot. MW will not be an issue, though the Arden continues to lead the teams drivers will have to manage their standing with forty-five points and tyres properly if they want to became the first team to win more enjoy some great overtaking and racing. than one race this season.
