Daily Activity Plan

Date: November 14, 2022 Age: 3 year olds
Duration: 30 minutes Activity Title: Baby Jesus
Circle Time: Whole Group
Content: Christmas is a special time. Many, many years ago a special baby boy named Jesus was
born at Christmas time
Objectives: By the end of the lesson activity and singing the birthday song, students should be
able to:
1. Identify the special baby that was born on Christmas.
2. Name at least three persons who visit the special baby.
3. Pretend holding the special baby.
4. Introduce the numeral three
Skills: identifying the special baby, name at least three persons who visited the special baby,
pretend holding the special baby, taking turns
Materials/ Resources: The Early Childhood Curriculum Guide zero to three years old and charts
Procedure: Introductory Activity
Students will be engaged in singing the song Mary had a baby. The teacher will use this song to
introduce the concept of the lesson before beginning circle time.
Developmental Steps
1. After the teacher has engaged the students in singing the song to get the students ready
and prepared for the lesson, the students will be placed in a circle. The teacher will explain to
the students that there was a special baby on Christmas; the teacher will then ask the students
to identify that special baby.
2. After each student identify the special baby, the teacher will then ask the students to
name at least three persons who came to visit the special baby. The students will be shown the
numeral three, however later on in the day we will be focusing on that numeral.
3. The teacher and students will pretend holding the special baby in the classroom.
Teacher will assist students who need help.

Content: This is the numeral three, the numeral three can be written half way round and half
way round and that is the numeral three. We can identify and count the little cakes.

should be able to:
1. Identify the numeral three.
2. Count three persons on the chart or in the classroom
3. Practice writing the numeral three in the air.
Skills: identifying the numeral three, counting three persons on the chart, practices writing the
numeral three, waiting their turns.
Materials/ Resources: numeral three, Picture chart, playdough, bottle stoppers, sorting box
Procedure: Introductory Activity
Students will be engaged in singing the numeral song. The teacher will use the song to
introduce the lesson concept of the numeral three.
Developmental Steps

teacher and students will engage in a discussion about the numeral three song and a teacher
made story. The students will be shown the numeral three then ask them to hunt for the

2. The teacher will allow the students to touch and count three Jesus family members on
the chart or in the classroom. The teacher will correct the students and assist who need help.
3. Students and teacher will pretend writing the numeral three in the air after which the
teacher will assist the students who need help. Teacher and students will review the lesson
with singing and show and tell.

1. Students will be given the colour then they will be instructed to identify the colour red
in the classroom. The teacher and students will discuss the lesson the teacher will then listen to
each student’s response.
2. The teacher will allow each students to name at least three items that are red while
singing the colour song.
3. After identifying the colour red, the teacher will demonstrate how to sort and the colour
red and match it to another red item, then ask the students to do the same. The teacher will
assist the students who need help.

Students will be engaged in singing the letter song “C,C,C,” we are talking about the letter C. C is
for cake, candle etc. The teacher will use the song to introduce the concept of the letter “Cc”
during the lesson.

teacher and students will engage in a discussion about the letter “Cc” song and a teacher made
story. The students will be shown the letter Cc then ask them to hunt for the letter in the
