THE PRESIDENT,

JUBILEE HOUSE,

KANDA,

ACCRA.

Dear President,

POSSIBLE SUGGESTION TO ARREST THE RISING PRICE OF FOREIGN CURRENCIES AGAINST GHANA CEDIS

It saddens me why Ghana cedis can't compute with USA dollars and I strongly believe that the cause is from
a lot of people who seek to disgrace your government. Some are around you, in your government, foreign
business people in Ghana and greatly opposition party members.

First, I will suggest that you invoke all foreign brewers' licenses from buying and selling foreign currencies. I
know is a hash decision but Ghana and Ghanaians first. Afterwards, you issue a license to them by restricting
and regulating their activities regarding the pricing and selling of foreign currencies by such businesses.

Second, it should be constituting that foreign currencies must be exchanged at Ghana banks and authorized
licensed businesses.

Let the bank of Ghana regulates the activities of foreign exchange as one of its core mandates. The banks
should restrict accepting Ghana cards, passports and company documents as a form of evidence to access
foreign exchange to limit the amount of buying and selling of foreign currencies. Ghana Police Service
(Taskforce) to handle any person without a license in dealing in buying and selling foreign currencies.

Lastly, electronic cards (such as Visa or Master cards) for payment and receipt of foreign currencies should
be encouraged by financial institutes and completely and total canceling of using foreign currencies for
payments of goods and services by any organisations.

This will arrest the increasing selling and buying of foreign currencies. I hope this will help as we are in a
hard time, reduce the burden of traders who make use of foreign currencies to transact and ease the
activities of Ghanaians and Ghana as a whole. Thank you.

Yours faithfully,

OBENG KOFI CLIFF
