New India, new dreams

India, the world's largest democracy, is a massive country with a wide range of religious,
cultural, and traditional diversity. As new India is coming out as a worldwide example, a
powerful face of power, and an example of medical and weapon manufacturing innovation. In
terms of GDP, India is ranked sixth. As India enters a new era, it brings with it an armada of new
dreams. We will cover a few ambitions of the Indian population in this essay.

Women empowerment
New India's biggest dream is that to see women empowerment in all sectors. We are glad to see
that women are becoming more self-sufficient and capable of taking on household duties.
However, many responsibilities need to be executed by the government to empower women,
such as ending female feticide, encouraging safety and equality in the workplace, and so on.
There are still many incidences of female feticide and physical assault in India's rural
communities, putting women in danger.

Fortunately, the Indian government, in collaboration with NGOs and social groups, is working to
ensure the safety and empowerment of Indian women. I want women in my nation to be free of
humiliation in society and independently live her life.

Good times for farmers

The agricultural industry is the backbone of the Indian economy. More than two-thirds of the
Indian population is dependent on agriculture, so good times for them means good times for the
Indian economy. In 2020 the central government launched three new laws for the agricultural
industry; they are:
● Farmers Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020.
● The Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020.
● Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement of Price Assurance, Farm Services
Act, 2020.

The Farm Bill 2020 is made up of three bills that Parliament just passed. As a result of these
bills, the agricultural industry has undergone significant structural changes. These bills also boost
agricultural business investment, which will benefit our farmers. According to Farm Bill 2020,
farmers would be free to sell their products on the open market. The farmer can now sell his
products to whomever he wants. As a result, they can benefit by selling agricultural products at a
higher price. There would be no APMC market fee or Cess on transactions in these business
areas. The present MSP-based procurement of agricultural grains has not yet been abolished. In
theAgriculture Bill 2020. Farmers will be able to sell their crop products in the mandi at the
current MSP, and the MSP-based procurement system would be maintained. There are no price
mechanisms in this Farm Bill. Farmers are concerned that handing over control of the agriculture
industry to private firms may result in their exploitation. Pulses, oil, edible oils, vegetables, and
fruits, which are all vital, have been removed from the essential list. The production,
transportation, storage, and distribution of these foods became uncontrollable as a result of the
transformation.

Good relations with other countries

One of new India's dreams is that India should have good relations with other countries. India
has begun to cultivate good connections with foreign nations after our dear Prime Minister Shri
Narendra Modi took office in 2014. India's closest allies are the Russian Federation, Israel,
France, Bhutan, and the United States. The United States, Japan, Singapore, Brazil, South Africa,
and Italy are among the countries with which India maintains strong military ties. In addition,
India has an air base in Tajikistan. India has developed relations with emerging countries such as
South Africa, Brazil, and Mexico. India's Look East policy has aided the country's development
of stronger economic and geopolitical ties with Southeast Asian countries, as well as South
Korea, Japan, and Taiwan. India has harmonious connections with the Persian Gulf countries as
well as the majority of African Union members. These relations can help India during crises and
support India during wars.

The development of the defence industry

As India moves into a new age, many hostile nations surround India and threaten it. Hence India
needs to develop its defence Industry. India already produces the Arjun Battle tank was designed
by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (also known as DRDO) and
manufactured in Avadi’s Heavy Vehicles Factory. The Bhishma T-90, which is currently
developed and manufactured at Uralvagonzavod by The Russian federation, may soon be
assembled in Avadi.

DRDO also plans to build state of the art drones as we are highly dependent on Israel for them.
In partnership with the Air Force Research Laboratory in the United States, the DRDO wants to
develop and manufacture air-launched drones. It is also developing a crewless aerial vehicle, the
Nishant.

There are many other points which I had to discuss, but because of the word limit I cannot write
more, so here are some more topics which I would have liked to discuss:
● Developments of ISRO
● Youngsters have more job opportunities because of good foreign relations
● Developments in regions and states of India
● Atmanirbhar Bharat
● 1 Country, 1 Rule
● Increase in the use of renewable energy sources
● Advancements in medical science

Conclusion
India is about to enter a new age. New India has the potential to be a magnificent country in
which I can be proud and confident. I want the future generation of this great country to have a
better life and receive what they deserve as citizens of this great country.
