1.0 Introduction

The use of English Language is very important among the school’s children. It is an
opportunity for the children to enhance their speaking, reading, writing and listening skills,
which are the four important skills pupils need to master. Therefore, children must not only
practice it during school hour but also in every conversation regardless place and time. A
consistent use of English Language will ensure pupils; at their tender age inculcate the essential
skills needed. It is also focused to encourage the pupils all levels in school how to appreciate
the value of English Language and how fun it is. Therefore, an English Week is planned to be
implemented in Sekolah Kebangsaan Seri Wangsa

2.0 Objectives

2.1 To make sure that pupils are aware of the importance of English Language as part of
their daily conversations.
2.2 To encourage all pupils to make use of the English Language in this school.
2.3 Engaging students in various areas of English Language learning (speaking, writing,
reading, listening) through modes beyond the scheme of work e.g. literature
appreciation and language games.

3.0 Organizer

Co-curricular Unit in collaboration with English Panel and School’s Library.

4.0 Target

All Year 1 to Year 6 pupils of Sekolah Kebangsaan Seri Wangsa iincluding pre-school.

10.0 Closure

With the hopes of embodying English as one of the main means of communication in the
school’s culture, the English Panel will carry this programmed with fervour. This co-academic
programmed is tailored to promote and encourage the use of English language among SK Seri
Wangsa’s pupils. By doing so, hopefully they can gain as much experience as they can and
indirectly enhance their English proficiency.
