1. How do you think your community influences your behavior?

Communities are social groups created by sharing a common interest as such

some of these perform events that affect a person’s behavior by influencing the individual
through collective influence. Communities encourages involvement in delivery of service,
control of assets, planning and reviewing these group become influential. There are
factors that influences our behavior conformity, compliance, cooperation, and groupthink.
Where conformity changes our opinions to match those inside the community.
Compliance is when the community force our shell to do uncomfortable task to increase
our social experiences. Cooperation this comes with share goals and as a member of a
community it is mandatory to work together to achieve a goal. And finally, groupthink
these are members of the group who are committed to the group’s goal where they refuse
to listen objectively and critically.

2. How does culture help in generating the character and identity of its people? Explain
and cite some examples.

Culture contributes a great deal of growth of our ideals and values. According to
cultural psychologist and social anthropologists agree that society influences one’s own
personality. It begins with the concept of where a family is located either the city or the
country these create cultural identity others are shaped base on their religion, regional
and history. It is partially true that culture is one of the contributing ideals that shapes a
person’s personality but ultimately families are the ones that closely shapes a person’s
identity. For example, a family that is religious will influence their son/daughter be the
same wavelength as their parents. Another example is a family that’s full of Filipinos,
Filipino families are known to be hospitable as well as family orientated, they value the
very culture of what makes them Filipino these can be based on their culinary, history,
religion, and etc. This can be seen in different regions as well for example an American
household tend to be unstable due to parental issues or their environment. Another

example is when an American lives in the Philippines their demeanor changes through
time and become more influence by how Filipino’s behave.
