Briquettes are high density biomass renewable fuels that are obtained as the end product of biomass

briquetting machines. They have high calorific value and less moisture content so they have complete
combustion. The rising need due to rising demand of renewable energy as non-renewable fossil fuels
are about to extinct. They are cheaper as compared to the other source of energy. Briquettes have the
brightest future as the raw material is easy available and end product has a huge ready market available.
Due to global awareness the demand of bio-mass briquettes is increasing. More and more sectors are
setting up their own briquetting plant to reuse the waste obtained from their industries into their
industries again. Government has started providing subsidies and started giving benefits for the plant
set up. They are giving us tax benefits, incentives and many other help. The viability is thus very high.
We can reproduce the investment within the span of two years.
• Rising demand due to increasing cost of fossil fuel like coal, wood, etc.
• Renewable source of fuel and energy
• Tax benefits and incentives
• Earlier viability
• Relaxed rules
• Pollution free briquettes as there is no presence of sulfur content
• Easy mobility and transportation
• Contain high density
Briquettes are directly used into boilers of paper, mills, sugar mill, dyeing houses, leather, oil extraction
plants and many other plants. It can be used into furnace & foundries for metal heating & melting. It
can also be used and brick kilns. It can also be used in residential & commercial heating
purpose. Biomass Briquettes are basically eco-friendly fuels as they will serve nature and human
together. They are renewable in nature. They save environment with their special quality –
nonpolluting.
They are affordable to everyone. So we get huge market verticals for the sale of the
briquettes. So there is no need to find the client for the end product.
Briquettes have high density – 1200 kg/m3 compared to loose biomass 60 to 180 kg/m3. So they
perform complete combustion. The briquettes can stand long distance transport and charges are very
low. They are made from binder less technology. Compared to wood, loose biomass, briquettes give the
much higher efficiency due to lower moisture and higher density.
The briquettes marketing is increasing day by day due to high demand market and cost effective
pollution free. .
A Briquette is an Ideal Fuel Due to
• Eco friendly & Renewable Energy fuel.
• Economical and cheaper than other solid fuels i.e. coal & wood.
• Higher thermal calorific value around 4000 Kcal/Kg.
• Pollution free briquettes as these is no sulfur or any hazardous material in the biomass.
• Lower ash content 2 to 5%. There is no fly ash when burn.
• Consistent and extraordinary burning efficiency due to the low moisture content.
• Contain high density & Higher Fix Carbon value.
• Easy to Transport, combustion and storage due to unique shape.
• Combustion is more uniform compared to other fossil fuel like coal.
• High demand market due to high upswing in fossil fuels price.

Application of Eco-Friendly Bio Fuel Briquettes/Bio-

Coal
Biomass Briquettes are widely used for any type of Thermal Application like steam generation in
boilers, heating purpose, drying process & gasification plant to replace existing conventional fuel like
coal, wood & costly liquid fuel like FO, Diesel, LDO, Kerosene etc. Use of Eco-Friendly Briquettes as
a fuel to save non-conventional fuels has shown very promising results.
Bio coal briquette made by briquetting press is a forth coming fuel of the world. It’s a high excellence
asset towards inexpensive, ecological & progressive environmental company policy.
Use of Finished Briquettes in various Industries
[Thermal Application]

Bio coal Briquette made by Briquetting Press is a forth coming fuel of the world. It’s a high
quality asset towards economical, ecological & advanced environmental company policy
Briquette has GCV up to 4200Kcal/kg. Our experts have shown that about 2.2 kg of briquette are
equivalent to 1 liter of furnace oil.
Market price of furnace oil fluctuates due to which savings of people are also affected. At 12 Rs/ lit
furnace oil price while at the same time briquette requirements is 2.2 Rs. /kg the substitution will result
in saving of 5.5Rs./lit. Of furnace oil price
The following table gives the saving potential at various consumption levels.

BIOMASS MATERIALS AND THEIR TYPICAL

CHARACTERISTICS
Biomass materials and biomass based industry residues are very important renewable energy sources.
The importance of these materials as alternate fuels i.e., Briquettes has been well recognized for use
in power generation. While the characteristics of biomass like Calorific Value,Ash Content etc. vary
from different geographical regions, the values for typical biomass materials are indicated for general
guidance.

CDMA Clean Development Mechanism Authority was established in 2003, to certify emission
reduction certificates which are distributed by them. They are calculated on basis of carbon credits like
one carbon credit is equal to one ton of carbon dioxide saved from releasing into environment.
UNFCCC validates international transfer of carbon credit. The carbon credits selling companies are
there in market who provide carbon credit to commercial and individual customers who are interested
in lowering their carbon footprint on a voluntary basis.
Chicago Climate Exchange, European Climate Exchange, NASDAQ OMX Commodities Europe,
Power Next, Commodity Exchange Bratislava and the European Energy Exchange are carbon
allowance exchanges that are trading in today’s market to provide climate exchanges.
NASDAQ OMX Commodities Europe planned a contract to trade offsets generated by a CDM carbon
project called Certified Emission Reductions (CERs). Many companies now engage in emissions
abatement, offsetting, and sequestration programs to generate credits that can be sold on one of the
exchanges. At least one private electronic market has been established in 2008: CantorCO2e. Carbon
credits at Commodity Exchange Bratislava are traded at special platform – Carbon place.
Emissions of the carbon will be the fastest growing services with an estimated market of €30 billion in
2007. Louis Reds haw, head of environmental markets at Barclays Capital predicts that “Carbon will be
the world’s biggest commodity market, and it could become the world’s biggest market overall
Such “Green Projects” which either use “Renewable Energy” Sources or Energy Efficient equipment’s,
contain emission of Green House Gases (GHG) in the atmosphere. They earn CER whose present
market rate is about RS 1200 per CER when sold to the developed countries to “offset” the emissions
they generate.
Your Organization can also qualify to earn Carbon Credits by replacing your traditional fossil fuels by
our Green Fuels. We are working together with some of the dealing CC Agencies to help your
organization qualify for these Credits. The CC can become a very important Revenue Generation
Source for you in the long run. Go green, earn handsomely and feel proud of participating in the

Biomass briquettes are solid form of fuels that are generated from biomass waste. They are also
called Bio Coal or White Coal and Bio Fuel. Biomass Briquettes are product of briquetting process of
converting a low density biomass in a compact high density biomass, concentrated with high energy.
They are 100% binder free called binderless technology, where there is no need of extra chemicals to
be added. Binder works as a moisturizer to hold the briquette. We have used progressive technology to
regulate the temperature so that lining present in the waste heats and acts as a natural binder.

Binders are:
• 100% Natural
• 100% Renewable
• 100% Pollution free
• 100% Binder less
• 100% Eco friendly
• 100% Economical

Applications of Briquettes
Briquettes can be used in various industries for chemical industries, milk plant, vegetable plant, pinning
mill, leather industries, rubber industries, ceramic industries, solvent industries, dyeing units, textile
units, lamination industries, brick making units, thermal units and many more. Briquettes can be used
for boiler, furnace and foundries, brick kilns, residential & commercial Heating.
Briquettes produced from briquetting of biomass through Briquetting Process are fairly good substitute
for coal, lignite, firewood and offer numerous advantages:
• Briquettes are cheaper than coal.
• Oil, coal or lignite, once used, cannot be replaced.
• High sulfur content of oil and coal, when burnt, pollutes the environment. There is no sulfur in
Briquettes.
• Biomass briquettes have a higher practical Thermal value and much lower ash content 2-10% as
compared to 20-40% in coal.
• There is no fly ash when burning briquettes.
• Briquettes have consistent quality have high burning efficiency, and are ideally sized for
complete combustion.
• Combustion is more uniform compared to coal and boiler response to changes in steam
requirements is faster due to higher quantity of volatile matter in briquettes.
• Briquettes are usually produced near the consumption centers and supplies do not depend on
erratic transport from long distances.
Briquettes have high specific density (1200 Kg/m3) and bulk density (800 Kg/m3) compared to 60 to
180 Kg/m3 of loose biomass. The long distance transportation of the Briquettes is very easy to manage.
Loading/unloading and transportation costs are much lessand storage requirement is drastically
reduced. Compared to fire wood or loose biomass, briquettes give much higher boiler efficiency
because of low moisture and higher density.
