HODs’ Meeting
Our beloved Principal Dr.S.Palaniammal conducted a

meeting with the Heads of all the Departments on October 26th,
2022. A discussion followed on matters regarding the
pre-preparations of Inter-school Quiz Competition - Adithya
Infomindz, College Committee Meeting Report, Student Council
Meeting, Convocation, and on other academic concerns such as
the completion of syllabus, conduct of continuous internal
assessment test, updation of study materials in Google
classroom, MyKlassroom and Google Sites, and also on the
forthcoming recruitment drives.

MEETING

Student Council Meeting
Our beloved Principal Dr.S.Palaniammal convened the

Student Council Meeting for all the First, Second and Third year
students on 26th October, 2022. Madam had a discussion with the
students on matters regarding the syllabus coverage for the
Continuous Internal Assessment, the progress of club activities,
placement achievements of the students, convocation and
on other matters related to academic and non-academics. The
students were also given the space to represent their concerns.

Dr. P.S. Chandni, Head, Department of Commerce (B.Com,

B.Com BPS & M.Com) convened a meeting for the faculty
members of the department and discussed the registration of
graduands for the graduation ceremony, and on the updation of
Myklassroom credentials.

Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine

Learning organised an Industrial Expert Talk on ‘Object Oriented
Programming in C++’ on 26th October 2022. The Resource
Person, Mr. Sriram explained the OOP concepts in C++.
More than 60 students from I B.Sc (AI & ML) attended the session
and benefitted through the session.

English
Ms.M.Srija Nandini, Assistant Professor, Department of

English conducted a fun activity for the students of I B.Sc IT B in
an attempt to help the students learn Verbals and its types on
Gerunds, Infinitives and Participles. During the course of the
activity, the students actively participated with a great deal of
enthusiasm.

Ms.S.Suvaythaa, the student of I B.Sc Information

Technology, participated in an Essay Writing Competition hosted
by Vaagai Tamil Sangam on behalf of Dr.A.P.J. Abdul Kalam’s
Dream Student and faculty Awards on 22nd October 2022.

Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
The students of the Department of Artificial Intelligence and

Machine Learning participated in the One Day National Level
Technical Symposium, ‘Conclave - 2k22’ on 19th October 2022,
organised by the School of Computer Science, Rathinam College
of Arts and Science, Coimbatore and have won many prizes.

ACHIEVEMENTS

Mrs.K.Brindha, Assistant Professor, Department of

Computer Applications has published a Patent Titled
“Supervised Machine Learning Technique for Efficient
Management of Cloud Resources” in IP Office Journal of the
Indian Patent Office, with a patent no. 41/2022 dated 14.10.2022
[p.p 65489].

Dr.B.P.Sreejith Vignesh, Head, Department of Information

Technology has successfully cleared Scrum Foundation level
exam and is certified as Scrum Foundation Professional on 24th
October 2022.

David Horowitz is an American writer and provocateur with

conservative leanings. He is the founder and the mind behind the
David Horowitz Freedom Center through which he promotes
conservatism and right-wing ideologies. Horowitz is a
remarkable personality because his political journey started from
the far left and ended up being far right. Born to Russian
immigrant parents who were followers of Marxism, attending
political demonstration was part of his childhood. Upon entering
University, he became one of the celebrity members of the New
Left. Later, he started a magazine and organised campaigns
against nuclear weapons and the Vietnam war.

He spent a few years in Europe after completing his

University degree where he worked for Bertrand Russell. Back in
the USA, he got involved with the Black Panthers and became
particularly close with the founder Huey Newton. His break from
the left occurred when one of his friends was brutally killed and
the Black Panther leadership was believed to be behind it.
Horowitz formally announced his break from the left in 1985 after
voting for President Reagan. Since then he has written
prolifically and promoted conservative ideas. He was one of the
early Trump supporters and maintains and defends his support
for President Trump and his policies.
