Choose a technological advancement that has had an impact on society

Technology is a product of the application of scientific knowledge to solve specific

problems which have a significant impact on society. Technological advancement is when
applied sciences become more precise, accurate, efficient, capable, or controlling. Scientific and
technological advances have made many changes in history, some better than others.
Automobiles, radios, aeroplanes, televisions, computers, modems, cellular phones, fax machines
and biotechnology have all assisted in bringing about major advancements and changes in our
world. Scientific knowledge doubles every few years because of technological advancements.  In
addition to transforming how we learn, travel, worship, and do business, 20th-century technology
has entirely reviewed how people learn, meet, effort, play, interact and interact.
Essentially, advancing technology leads to an increase in knowledge and information,
which leads to uncovering new ways to improve technology. As a result, biotechnology is
brought technological advancements in medicine. Biotechnology has made dramatic scientific
advances in recent decades despite controversy. Several technological developments have
generated difficult ethical, political, and moral questions. These developments include gender
preselection, reproductive technologies, surrogate parenthood, and genetic engineering. It is
believed that humans have been using biotechnology since the beginning of civilisation. At the
beginning of biotechnology, the Aztecs had a scientist who used spirulina algae to make cakes,
and one Egyptian scientist added yeast to leaven bread. Chinese scientists introduced
fermentation techniques for cheesemaking and brewing (Adams).
There is no doubt that genetic engineering alters human behaviour in a more
presumptuous (according to the opinion of some critics or alarming as well) manner than
reproductive technology (Chapman). The change is bad and going in the wrong direction. The
reason why it's bad is that it's against the law and ethics. By creating exact copies of one genetic
ancestor, cloning is considered the most advanced method of genetic engineering. For years,
geneticists have cloned animals, but they may soon turn their attention to humans. Genetic
engineers can replace undesirable genes with desirable genes through gene therapy, one of the

most recent advances in genetic engineering. These developments offer many possibilities for
eradicating certain diseases and infirmities and modifying various organisms, but gene therapy is
still considered experimental.
