Topic Unit 7: Time
Objective To enable the students to understand about time.
Materials Clock.
Process
1. Greeting with students.
 Teacher greet the students by saying “Good morning students!”
 Teacher asks students to stand up to do some body stretch up before class started.

2. Revision.
 Read the number chart (1-50), Keywords (O’clock, minute hand, hour hand, big, small, tall,
short, long, short, more, less, ascending, descending)
 Remind them how to count add and minus using fingers.

3. Set induction.
 Sing a song entitle “Telling time (1) song”
Ticky ticky ticky tick-a-tock!
Ticky ticky ticky tick-a-tock!
Ticky ticky ticky tick-a-tock!
What time is it? Tick-tock!
One o’clock Two o’clock Three o’clock Tick-tock!
Four o’clock Five o’clock Six o’clock Tick-tock!
Seven o’clock Eight o’clock Nine o’clock Tick-tock!
Ten o’clock Eleven o’clock Twelve o’clock Tick-tock!

4. Introduce textbook new topic to the students.


 Page 37 and 38 - Knowing about time and activities; Teacher show the clock and time to
students. Explain to them, what is the suitable activities for them to do
during the hour.

5. Doing exercises in textbook, exercise book and worksheet.


 page 39 - Circle the correct answer.
 page 40 - Draw the minute and hour hands to show the times for the correct activities.
 Page 41 - Match each clock with the correct time.
 Page 42 - Put a (✓) for the correct answer and a cross (X) to show the incorrect one.
 Exercise book - page 13 and 14.
 Worksheet - page 9 and page 10.

6. Activity
 Title: Match the time!
 Teacher will explain how play the activity to students.
 Teacher distribute the “o’clock” to the students and start play the game.

Conclusion Students understand about time (O’clock)

Objective To enable the students to measure mass using units.
Materials Balancing scale, books.
Process 1. Greeting with students.
 Teacher greet the student by saying “Good morning everyone!” and ask them to stand up to
greet teacher.

2. Revision.
 Read the number chart (1-100), Keywords (Big, small, tall, short, long, short, more, less,
ascending, descending)

3. Set induction.
 Sing a song entitle “Is it heavy or light?” by Jack Hartmann on youtube.

Heavy, heavy a dumbbell is heavy


Light, light a paper is light
Heavy, heavy a chair is heavy
Light, light a pencil is light
Heavy, heavy a chair is heavy

4. Introduce textbook new topic to the students.


 Page 37 - Explain about heavy and light.
 Page 38 - Explain about mass in units.

5. Doing exercises in textbook, exercise book and worksheet.


 Text book page 39 - Fill in the correct answers.
 Textbook page 40 & 41 - Circle the correct answer.
 Textbook page 42 - Put a (✓) for the correct answer and a cross (X) to show
the incorrect one.
 Exercise book - page 13 and 14.
 Worksheet - page 10.

6. Activity. (Balancing scale)


 Teacher will explain how to play the activity to students.
 Teacher use the basic objects in the classroom to become the objects in this activity.
 Teacher provide balancing scale and students start to play the activity.
 Students start the activity.

7. Teacher take photo each students for the activity.

Conclusion Students understand how to measure mass using units.
