SARA Classifications
Chronic health hazard
Paver products are mixtures of naturally occurring minerals that have been mixed with water and
cured. Pavers are manufactured in various shapes, sizes, and colors. These pavers do not contain
asbestos or polychlorinated biphenyls. Under normal conditions these products do not release
hazardous materials after installation and are not considered hazardous waste should disposal be
necessary. The pavers are odorless, stable, nonflammable, and pose no immediate hazard to health.
However, respiratory, hand and eye protection may be needed to prevent excess exposure to
airborne particulates if dust is produced by cutting pavers or if dust is produced by any other
operation, including removal.
