THE EASIEST WAY FOR STUDENTS

TO LEARN THIS PANDEMIC
SIGNIFICANCE / IMPORTANCE OF
THE STUDY

• This study will serve as a guide for the students to

understand and choose the right and the best
modality that they can adapt to. This will also help
the schoolmasters, administrators and the school to
give the best practice and effective learning for the
students during the pandemic as they understand
their learners’ opinions, ideas and experiences.

Medical education adaptations during a pandemic: Transitioning to virtual student support

Due to the spread of the viral virus Covid-19, learners and professors alike had lost the ability of
face-to-face education. However, students still had to learn in one way or another, in lieu of going to
school, undergrads were required to do online class (/other available modality) instead. The people in
charge of this subject were worried that the new normal wouldn't be perceived well but they couldn't just
leave the learners to their own devices so they ultimately decided to push through it. They soon found out
that students who are lonely or who are experiencing anxiety felt comfort in seeing their co-learners going
through the same thing. They also found that video chats were preferred because it made the
conversation flow easier thus learning easier, compared to if they just made phone calls.

Now, of course issues were faced, including (but are most likely, not limited to) unstable WIFI
connections, causing some reports of call drop outs. Another issue is that many couldn't afford to get their
own computers, especially during the pandemic which adds to the exclusivity factor of this whole situation.
Other than those two (2) major pickles, learning through screens were vastly praised with tons of good
reviews. According to them, they would like to keep online learning an option even after the pandemic has
passed.

Sentiment Analysis on Synchronous Online Delivery of Instruction due to Extreme Community

Quarantine in the Philippines caused by COVID-19 Pandemic

The COVID-19 caused pandemic has severely affected the whole world. That includes students’ classes
and their mental health. There is no available cure for this yet, thus face to face classes are extremely
risky. Students and teachers are both having certain problems regarding instructional delivery of
knowledge due to unprepared situations caused by the decision of the government for community
quarantine. Poor internet connection and lack of money are the possible barriers for students to reach
their dreams. Aside from that, some of the problems that may be encountered by the students are
background noises, fairness in grading, and expensive mobile loads. According to a study, a majority of
students are not yet really ready for synchronous classes. With that, students are not yet that ready
regarding the class for this school year. Education must continue, or at least, to some.

Exploring undergraduate students’ attitudes towards emergency online learning during COVID-19: A
case from the UAE

As the COVID-19 pandemic hits, a mandatory shift to a new strategy of learning which is virtual
education was implemented. In a university in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, students in two general
English courses who took the final tests for the second semester of the academic year 2019-2020 were
tasked to write an essay about their experience. Based on the answers that the students have given, the
most common positive features of the emergency shift of modalities are time-effectiveness, safety,
convenience and improved participation. On the other hand, the negative features are distraction, less
focus, heavy workload, technology and internet problems, and inadequate support from teachers and
peers. The results of this study, help the schoolmasters and foundations to understand their students'
attitude on online learning under the unusual occurrences. It is also a guide for the teachers, office and
policy makers to create a better experience towards online learning.
