description in not more than three sentences.

A. Natural Environment
1. Hiangdanan Cave

The Hinagdanan Cave, meaning “Laddered” in Cebuano, is one of the many wondrous
caves in the island province of Bohol. The cave was accidentally discovered by a farmer;
while clearing his land he found 2 holes, curious, he dropped a stone and heard a
splash. He built a ladder “hagdan” and was able to access the cave and find its hidden
beauty, thus the origin of the name Hinagdanan.
2. Loboc River

The Loboc River is now one of the major destinations of tourists, local and
foreigners alike. Located in the Municipality of Loboc, a mere 24 kilometers away
from Tagbilaran City, the winding river plays host to cruisers on board small bancas
or floating restaurants. Visitors are treated to a vista of lush tropical vegetation such
as nipa palms, coconut trees, banana groves, and bushes.
3. Cabagnow Cave Pool

Cabagnow Cave Pool is the deepest among other cave pools found around the
area. It lies in the Southeastern part of the province. This 25-feet deep cave pool is
called Cabagnow or Kabagno because it is particularly a hole in the ground.
4. Bilar Man-Made Forest

The man-made forest stands out because of the uniformity in height of the big
trees, the spread of its branches, thickness and design of leaves. Seedlings abound
around the older trees. Trunks, some thick and others just a few months old, grow
resplendently straight up towards the sky which is obscured by the branches and
the thick leaves.
5. Chocolate Hills

Chocolate Hills in Bohol is a famed tourist attraction in the Philippines which

continues to draw attention for its unique and majestic characteristics. There
are more than 1,000 symmetrical mounds, conical and dome-shaped that most
people liken them to Hershey's Kisses.
B. Built but not originally designed for visitor purposes
1. Philippine Tarsier Sanctuary

A trip to Bohol won’t be complete without visiting the Philippine Tarsier Sanctuary.

Endangered and a protected species, the tarsier is a tiny and odd-looking primate.
Seeing one in real life is a special experience because Bohol is one of the few places
you can get to see them up close. The Philippine Tarsier Sanctuary in Corella is
within a short 20-minute drive from Tagbilaran City. Inside the sanctuary, you will be
able to see and take photos of these marvelous creatures in their natural habitat.
Just remember no flash photography, please.
2. Cadapdapan Rice Terraces

The terraces were formed from elevated areas converted into farmlands by the
natives of barangay Cadapdapan long time ago. Usually seen in pictures, the
terraces’ dominating colors is golden yellow. A color which reminds them of the
wealth left for them from their ancestors that are indeed worth remembering.
3. Butterfly Sanctuary

oldest in the Philippines. Construction began in 1717 where some 200 native forced
laborers (obras pias) cut and dragged coral blocks from the sea, using only bamboos
in moving and lifting the stones in position.

3. Blood Compact Shrine

The Sandugo or Blood Compact Shrine monument found in Bo-ol district of Tagbilaran
City is a landmark at the site of the first international treaty of friendship between
Spaniards and Filipinos. It's a popular attraction included in a Bohol day trip. This place
represents a junction in our history that pretty much led to us being who we are now.
The Blood Compact Shrine depicts Sikatuna and Legazpi at the famed "Sandugo"
moment, as the former pledged allegiance to the latter. The National Artist makes it for
Sculpture, Napoleon Abueva.

The Bamboo Hanging Bridge which spans for almost 40-km. is located at Sevilla, Bohol.
The bridge is made of bamboo and steel cables for more support.  It was originally made

cable steel. The deck of the bridge is made of woven bamboo slats and believe it or not,
they are very sturdy.
