Disk Image Recovery Procedure GeoSwath 4
1. Scope
This document describes how restore from a master disk image using the USB recovery
drive supplied with GeoSwath 4 and GeoSwath 4R systems.
2. Requirements
The following components are required for this procedure.
Keyboard
Mouse
Monitor
Power source and power leads
USB Recovery Disk (supplied in the system software pack)

4. Recovery Procedure
4.1. Connect the USB recovery drive to a spare port on the Deck Unit.
4.2. Attach a mouse, keyboard and monitor to the Deck Unit. Connect to an appropriate
power source.
4.3. Switch on and press the system start button on the GeoSwath system. If recovering a
GeoSwath 4R system, wait until the License Agreement appears (got to next step).
On a GeoSwath 4 Deck Unit, as the system starts press F11 to enter the boot menu.
Use the keyboard cursor keys to select UEFI drive then press enter.
4.4. Wait for a few seconds, the License Agreement will appear. Click ‘Yes’.

4.5. The hard disk drive will be detected and a prompt shown to warn that all data will
be overwritten and lost. Click ‘OK’.
4.6. A window will appear giving a summary of the operations which will be performed
during the image restore. Click ‘Start’ to begin the process.

4.8. Click ‘OK’ once more. Promptly remove the USB recovery disk from the Deck Unit
as it restarts.
