Speaking 02

Presentation: Good afternoon teacher and classmate, today we are present our production.
Three friends go to the cinema…
After the movie
Debora: Wow girls, it was a very beautiful movie, I liked it a lot and you?
Jennifer: I really liked Debora, the movie was fascinating.
Yasmin: Yes, it was great, and what did you understand about the movie Debora?
Debora: Well, Matilda Wormwood is a very special girl. Resourceful and determined, Matilda
realizes that she is smarter than her parents and therefore pays no attention to their ridiculous ideas.
Her nice teacher, Miss Jennifer Honey, asks that Matilda be moved to a more advanced class, but
the perfidious headmistress, Miss Trunchbull, refuses. Meanwhile, Matilda discovers that she has
telekinetic powers, a secret she confides only to Miss Honey.
When she accuses Matilda of having done it, Matilda becomes so furious that she knocks the glass
over her with her eyes. Miss Honey feels doubt about the girl's powers and takes her to her house
for a picnic, on the way they pass in front of Trunchbull's house where Matilda sees a swing and
asks why Trunchbull has a swing in his house. Honey decides to tell him the story of a girl she met
who after her mother's death, her father called her mother's stepsister. Immediately Honey says that
this is her house when they arrive, with this information, Matilda formulates in her mind a plan to
get rid of Trunchbull.
Matilda and Miss Honey manage to escape, but Matilda had to swear never to return to that house.
That night she decides to use her powers to make Trunchbull's life miserable, Matilda attracts
Honey's old doll and two chocolates. Trunchbull finds her and suspects some of Honey's students.
When Trunchbull examines Miss Honey's class, Matilda uses her MATILDA uses her powers to
write on the blackboard.
His will also appears, and Miss Honey is found to be the rightful heir to the estate. Thereafter, Miss
Honey moves into her father's house, and with her aunt gone, Matilda is upgraded, but loses her
telekinesis. Miss Honey tells Matilda about the powers that she thinks is because Matilda's brain has
to work so much harder now, competing with children twice her age. At the end of the story, the
law catches Matilda's father, who had been selling stolen cars, so he decides to run away with his
family to Spain, but Matilda begs them to let her stay with Miss Honey.
Jennifer: Ah yes, a very good movie in my opinion, that when she developed her ability from a
very young age, and was autonomous, despite the screams and that her parents did not give her
support, she knew how to continue and not give up, she managed to learn several things to be a
better person, to be able to nourish herself through books and have great knowledge and have ease
in her activities and that she is also a girl who does not like injustice. And what do you think
Yasmin?
Yasmin: In my opinion, the movie Matilda is good, the bad thing is that there is a part where the
blonde girl with braids is pulled by her braids and I think that makes the public aware of child
abuse, it is a habit of misconduct by the actors in that scene, that part was not my best this time
Debora: Ah of course that is very true, but apart from all that, the movie is very beautiful, but hey
girls, maybe another day we can go out again, take care, bye.
Jennifer: Bye girls.
Yasmin: Bye girls, take care.
