INVITATION TO COMMENT ON THE RANDBURG CBD TRANSPORT MASTERPLAN DRAFT REPORT
The City of Johannesburg (Cou)'s Transport Department is committed to improving its transportation systems in
alignment with the City's agenda to make public transport and non-motorized transport (NMT) the mode of choice by
2040.
The Civil Concepts Consortium has been appointed to prepare a Transport Master Plan (TMP) and Implementation
Plan for the Randburg Central Business District (CBD).
The project is currently in Phase 3 which involves the preparation of a Draft TMP Report and alll stakeholders are invited
to review and comment on the draft report, A 30-day comment period is being held from Monday, 7 November 2022
to Wednesday, 7 December 2022 to give you sufficient time to study the report and provide your inputs.
A digital copy of the Draft TMP Report can be accessed by clicking here and/or visiting the CoJ/JDA Websites. Hard
copies of the report are available at the Randburg Library, Blairgowrie Recreation Centre and Ferndale Recreation
Centre. Please note the hard copy of the report cannot be removed from these venues and therefore viewing must be
done on site.
A public meeting will be held on Thursday, 17 November 2022 from 17h00 to 19h30 at Ferndale Recreation Centre,
38 Harley Street, Ferndale, Randburg where the plans will be on display from 17h00 and a formal presentation on the
key findings of the draft report will take place at 18h00. An online public meeting will also be held on Tuesday, 22
November 2022 from 17h30 to 19h30 on MS Teams. The public can request an electronic link to the meeting trom
