C3 Short-term exchanges of groups of pupils meeting in Potenza, Italy, Liceo Rosa-Gianturco

12th -18th December 2021

PROGRAMME – DRAFT
Content:
Professionals in Hotel Industry, as well as specialists in Online Marketing, will lecture students
about the requirements needed to succeed in this areas. Students will simulate business initiatives
based on knowledge acquired during C1 and C2.
The exchanges consists in topic-related activities and cultural ones too.

Cultural topics. Students are going to know local history, culture and people, with a specific focus
on Italian cuisine, an extremely important part of the Italian cultural heritage and a significant
touristic attraction

Objectives:
- To make students know how to use the online tools presented in the meeting as an access to a job
- To make students know how to use the online tools presented in the meeting for marketing
purposes
- To make students develop entrepreneurial skills
- To create a friendly climate in order to stimulate their creativity
- To make students aware of the importance of communication skills, teamwork abilities and
social skills
- To make students aware of the importance of modern foreign languages
- To develop and promote independent skills: reflection, resourcefulness, etc.
Methods: seminars, presentations, workshops, competitions, school visits, creative work,
collaboration and teamwork
Results:
- To develop foreign language skills
- To improve knowledge on career choices and possibilities to create their own job
- To get more motivated in school activities by using ICT tools
- To improve students’ ICT skills
- To create innovative teaching methods that promote a more positive and involving learning
environment

Group day trip to Matera


Matera is one of the most spectacular places in southern Italy. It is
famous for the "Sassi" (Italian for “stones”), namely houses carved
out of stone. It has been Unesco Heritage Site since 1993 and in
2019 it became the European capital of culture. It is an example of
“emerging tourism”.
