STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

I am Harjot Singh and I am Residing in Gurdaspur.

Education Details:
I have done my secondary school certificate from Punjab School Education Board
in March’2018. Then I did my Senior Secondary School certificate from Punjab
School Education Board in March’2020. After that I have done Ielts in Oct ’2021
and got 6 bands.
After completing my education, I have invested my time in looking for the
course that I wanted to study in India. As I was aware of various drawbacks that
the Indian Educational system possessed, I made the decision of choosing
international education. I further compared various nations with each other and
after a detailed research I was able to finalize the United Kingdom for my
education as it provided most ideal educational structure and quality.

Why I choosing B.Sc (Hons) Computer Science:

The reason choosing Studying computer science is such an important field is that
computers and technology have been integrated into virtually every economic
sector, industry, and even organization operating in the modern economy.
Computer science will help me to develop problem-solving, critical thinking and
complex analytical skills. Skills such as these are especially useful for specialists
working with complex algorithms and big data to create instructions and
understand design patterns. The field of computer science is growing much faster
than average at 16% growth per year. Computer scientists can work in a wide
array of job titles, including: software developer, computer and information
systems manager, computer programmer, web developer, and more.
Why I chose United Kingdom:

United Kingdom is a developed country and the living standard and diversity of
the country is way too attractive for me. It will change my whole personality as
it’s an English speaking developed nation. I have read a lot about the United
Kingdom education structure and the policies that the United Kingdom offers.
Education in United Kingdom is much more qualitative as compared to other
Countries. The courses are globally recognized and accepted worldwide so my
education will be valued all over the nation alongside its acceptance will give me
a platform to work anywhere. The reason to choose United Kingdom is because
of cultural diversity, friendly native and high quality of education. Standard of
living in United Kingdom is highest among the world.

Why not in India:

Looking into the Indian Educational structure I found that in Indian educational
providers there is very little room for practicality and research as the focus is all
on the curriculum of the course. Even if a student has great ideas and manages
to implement one of them despite having to appear for dozens of exams every
year, he is not motivated to come forward. The curriculum that that was being
taught was the same as it has been from a lot of years. Looking into the
education structure of a lot of institutes made me realize that the education
quality that I desired could not be offered in my home country. Hence, I decided
to choose the direction of getting my bachelor course from an international
provider.

Once I complete this course I will return to my home country as I aim to rise
into the cream of professionals through this course and have the competency to
fulfill my responsibilities towards my parents and my country. I believe that as
this course the B.Sc Computer Science helps to develop a widely applicable skill
set in computing with strong programming and mathematics skills, as well as
wide ranging skills in project management, effective presentations and teamwork.
Graduate with a portfolio of work fit to present to potential employers. I can focus
on particular areas of interest such as machine learning, web development, data
science and video games. BSc Computer Science offers one of the highest paying
BSc specializations as the course leads to a number of jobs and career options that
can get I an average salary of around INR 6 LPA. The top BSc Computer Science
Colleges in India offer placement opportunities in sectors such as Banks, IT
departments in top MNCs, Technical Support, Software development, System
Maintenance, Research & Development, Tech Consultancies, Security &
Surveillance, and others. BSc Computer Science incorporated both classroom

Programming, Computer Organization, Operating systems, Data Structures etc.

sure that my hard work and my commitment towards the cause will help me
turn the dream that I have been seeing with open eyes into reality.
