 Do spend day one going over
expectatins and start out with a
lighter curriculum-related activity
to ease the students into the class
and into the new school year
 Do uncorporate activities into
lessons to avid student restless and
tune-out.
 Do take care of your number one
teaching tool: your vocal chords!
Watch your volume, drink plenty of
water, and talk to your
technologist or principal about
adding a classroom audio system,
like FrontRows’s Juno, to protect
your voice and ensure all students
hear you equally well as you
walk through the classroom.
DON’Ts
 Don’t make noise
 Don’t steal
 Don’t bully others
 Don’t shout answers
 Don’t come late to class
 Don’t break school rules
 Don’t eat in class
 Don’t be too angry.
DOn’ts
 Don’t allow students to shout out
answers. This could easily load to the
moe reserved students and also those
relying on not being called on to never
participate.
 Don’t use texting languages when
writing lesson plans.
 Don’t dress too casually. As a teacher,
putting a little more effort into your
attire increases respect and establishes
you as an authority figure.
 Don’t forget to fave fun!
