Native Americans (fan-made faction for Imperial Settlers)

Proud, free-spirited, nature-loving people, who like to make new acquaintances and raid them. Exceptional
warriors with many braves, who roam around looking for a good hunt, an adventure or an ill-defended
neighboring location with interesting loot. Their settlements are spread over a large amount of land and are
generally easy to build. They’re fiercely defended, so when razed, there’s really nothing left of them, but for
the aggressor they can provide unexpected bounty of great worth. Be warned, though! The proud Native
Americans will hold a grudge and if they seek retribution, they might come in great numbers! In fact, they do
take offense easily and do not pay too much attention to details such as who was the attacker and who the
victim. Other interests and hobbies include: bonfires, wild life preservation, peace pipe smoking and
shamanism.

Native Americans – a fan-made faction for Imperial Settlers. Version 1.01. Created by cezarr. Made available publicly with
permission from Ignacy Trzewiczek (as Ignacy puts it: everyone is welcome and encouraged to create and share their own
factions for Imperial Settlers – so what are you waiting for?). :)

Corrections and constructive criticism very much welcome (especially: ideas to improve the faction that have been given
some testing)!

Enjoy!

Card Explanation
You can copy any enemy production location. You will get the resources it
provides in the production phase of the next round. Enemy will also get the
resources. Mark the card with anything that comes to your mind. Remove this token
Learn skills right after production is done.
You may choose any enemy faction location and ask your opponent to move it to
the right-hand side of his empire. This location, now in the common part of the
empire, can be razed for 2 VPs and if so, it will not turn into a foundation, but will
Pathfinders be discarded (like Japanese locations).

You choose one of two options: either draw 1 common card or get VPs. You get 1
VP for every offence token your opponents hold (combined), but a maximum of 3.
Once the production phase is done, you discard 1 offence token per opponent. If an
opponent doesn't have any, nothing happens. If you have multiple Peace Pipe cards,
Peace Pipe you first get VPs from all of them and only then discard offence tokens as required.

Can't be used on an opponent who doesn't have an offence token. Can be used even
if opponent doesn't have any common locations (or other targets for razing). In that
case you only get the 3 VPs and 1 H. When you raze an opponent using an action
from this card, you don't give him an additional offence token as you normally do
Retribution according to what the feature of the Native Americans says.
You need to discard a location to build it. If you discard a common location, count
Tribes aplenty points afterwards.

Shaman's visions You may choose to use both or just one of the two options (any one of the two).
Upon being exchanged the locations do not perform instant production and do not
give building bonuses. They become property of new owners, though, so any
features or actions they give can be used in the same or next rounds and starting
Exchange of gifts from next round they will produce normally.
If you build two of these you still only get a bonus of 1 H when building common
Tradition locations (not two).

The idea behind the features is that every time the Native Americans have their
locations razed they hold a grudge, on which they can act in the future, either
achieving retribution or finding ways to settle the differences peacefully. So the
razing party needs to collect an "offence/grudge" token (you can use anything, like
small coins for instance) and hold on to it until an event in the game occurs that will
have them discard it. If held until the end of game, these tokens do not have any
significance. To make razing more attractive (so more of it happens), it's been made
less profitable for the Native Americans (no foundation) and more for the attackers
(additional gold). To provide even more fun, :) the NA will give out offence tokens
even if they razed someone else (surely during the attack there must have been
hostility shown toward them and they do not appreciate that) and they also have
Features faction locations that allow them to announce themselves offended. :)
