conduct of simultaneous flag raising in support to the National Celebration of the battle of Mactan!
M: This is the day that I can proudly say: I am Pinoy!
S: Wow! Such a big word for a big role! However, it is not easy to advocate nationalism, that is why heroes are one
of a kind.
N: Though we have lots of extraordinary people like: The modern-day heroes, these are the front liners and to our
new heroes? Our Overseas Filipino workers. Salute to all of you.
S: Absolutely! But did you know sir Mac, we are all heroes/heroine in so many ways! The act of kindness, even just
Smiling to a stranger could be a blessing to others.
M: Obediently, (lingi-lingi mo sa inyong tapad) then smile and said, you are a hero!
S: Cheerfully! Just like any other being, a teacher in a big school must have a hero. Someone who is not enabler.
but protective leader.
M: Please help me welcome our dearest Principal, Dr. Judith P. Magsipoc for her opening remarks.
S: Thank you Ma’am we are so delighted by your words of wisdom.
M: More so, I just want to ask, what is a hero for you?
S: Ahmmm I guess, someone who will sacrifice their selves
M: Yeah that could be. And a hero for me is any person intent on making our country a better place.
Just like LAPU_LAPU… he was the leader of Mactan who have a strong will to stand for what is right.
S: Bravely! Yes Sir Mac and he fight fearless against conquerors specially Ferdinand Magellan. They fought to
protect our land, culture, and dignity.
M: As a result, we must nourish Lapu-lapu’s legacy of Patriotism by enriching generations to respect their own
heritage.
S: So now! At this juncture, The TCNCHS initiates the canvas of LAPU_LAPU masterpiece by Sir Rasos. This will
serve as replica for annual commemoration. You are encouraged to offer flowers/wreaths to hero’s park near to
you as expression of gratitude and unity.
M: Everyone can now offer their flowers.
S: To our First Hero: Your legacy shall remain, the memory of a great name “Lapu-lapu”, and the inheritance of a
great example will never perish. Thank you, brave one. You open the eyes of Filipino to love the Motherland.
M: Finally, we would like to express our thank you for the support given by our School head, Master teachers, Head
Teachers, and fellow teachers for making this possible.
S: We must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words but to live by them.
M: So now without further ado, please stay tune!!!

“SIT DOWN INTERVIEW WITH THE HISTORIAN”
I am Shekainah Rafols , come with me, let’s explore some good thoughts!
(stand near sa bangko) The Battle of Mactan on April 27, 1521 was a very significant
event in the country. ... Aside from being the first Filipino hero and symbol of bravery,
Datu Lapu-Lapu was the first man to resist Spanish colonization. Isn’t it amazing? (smile
with excitement)
The milestone of Lapu-lapu’s life was found on several pages of our books. Somehow,
legends not only live by the book, but they also become experimental.
Today we are going to ask some practical questions relevant to our celebration, so that
many of our students/viewers will take learnings applicable to reality.
To begin with, allow me to introduce to you the Master Teacher-II of Edukasyon sa
Pagpapakatao, Ma’am Elma Centillas.( shake hands/beso)
Next, joining us here, the Master Teacher of Araling Palipunan, Ma’am Maria Jade
Jabon.(shake/beso)
A pleasant morning to both of you, Ma’am… Since we are celebrating the 500 th
anniversary of the battle of Mactan, is it necessary to fight on every battle that comes
your way?
(pilig highlight sa tubag) I guess peace truly matters.
Kadalasan ang mga kabataan natin ngayon, they don’t find this commemoration
important, I would like to ask you Ma’am Elma, being one of the best teachers in our
school, what do you think would be the relevance of the victory in the battle of Lapu-
lapu in the Mactan to our present educational system?
That was a good point mam! (adlib)
How about you Ma’am Jade? What do you think is the impact of battle in Mactan to our
present situation?
Surely, we are born warriors that stand still despite of the trials being stoned to us.
(tan-aw sa cam) A good message to our youngsters, be brave, hopeful and stay close to
God.
For our next question: shout out sa lahat ng kabataan….In what aspect do you consider
Lapu-lapu as one of the best role models to young generation? Who will answer first
po?...( give comment)
Last but not the least question: How can you apply the main idea of the battle of Mactan
in real life situation?
Truly legends are quite amazing! To end this, any few tips or words for our students and
viewers out there…
That was fantastical! Thank you for the time sharing your brilliant words of wisdom. In
addition, try to look the following trivia just to add some spice.
(Standing) If you help give people hope and provide example to success or even simply
sharing motivational stories. This help ordinary people see the world in real terms and
see how beautiful life is. If you are doing these? You are a hero.
Finally, to make everything seems perfect. Let us eagerly listen to the closing remarks
deliver to us by Ma’am Sorayda Mama, Head Teacher II.
