3. General introduction of brake system

Functions of brake system

Apply the resisting force to the running machine to force its speed reduction or stop, and play an

important role in improving the productivity and ensuring the safety of persons or machines.

Basic requirements for brake system

1. Sufficient braking force, capable of ensuring the driving safety.

2. Easy and convenient control, reduction of driver’s labor intensity.

3. Rapid and stable increase of power in case of braking, quick and thorough release of wheel in

case of releasing the brake.

4.The materials of brake friction lining should have higher heat fading resistance and friction factors.

Anti-wear service life, it’s best to automatically adjust after the wears if it’s capable of adjustment

and it can be conveniently replaced after it’s scrapped.

5. The structure of brake shall have good heat dissipation efficiency to extend its service life.
3. General introduction of brake system

Definitions:
It’s a loader used to apply the resisting force to the running loader, force its speed reduction or stop, and keep
the loader in original position after the stop, which can’t move due to the inclined road or other external
forces.
Classification:
Service brake system: it’s a brake system used to reduce the speed or stop the loader while driving.(called as
foot brake shortly)
Parking brake system: it’s a brake system used to keep the loader in original position after the stop.(called as
hand brake shortly)
Components of brake system:
It consists of air compressor, oil-water separator combination valve, air tank, brake valve, booster pump,
brake selector valve and disc brake.
Features:
The service brake system of Doosan DL loader has features of caliper disc, air-over-oil and four-wheel brake.
Circuit of brake system:
It can be divided into single-pipe system and dual-pipe system as per different pneumatic or hydraulic
circuits;
It can be divided into dry brake and wet brake as per different media of brake shoe plate;
