QUICK OVERVIEW PERSONAL AXSGUARD

General information

 A PAX router is configured with a preloaded unique certificate, there are no settings stored on the PAX router
(e.g. DHCP range, WEP key, routing table…)
 When powered up, a PAX will try to sync its date and time via the configured timeserver (default is
„pool.ntp.org‟)
 The PAX router will send its certificate to our server in Belgium and our server in Belgium replies with the
configuration file (DHCP range, WEP key, routing table…)
 The PAX router will initiate the VPN connection to our server in Belgium.
 The PAX is has now built a VPN SSL tunnel between itself and our server. All traffic will travel through port
UDP1194.
 Our support engineers can connect to the VNC server on the sorter with a single click of the mouse.

Minimum prerequisites

 Port UDP 1194 open in both directions (incoming and outgoing) to


 VPN.BESTNV.COM (194.7.27.162) and/or PAX.BESTNV.COM (194.7.27.163)
 Port UDP 123 open for NTP via “pool.ntp.org”, or any other timeserver will do –
 even internal.

Extra configuration

 port TCP 80 and TCP 3190 towards 195.207.28.11 and 195.144.94.127, for
 firmware updates, not regularly
 Extra backup servers: vpn1.bestnv.com and pax1.bestnv.com
