Course Title : Statistical Analysis with Software Application

Course Code : BAA09
Placement : Second Trimester, Third Year
Course Credit : 3 units (54 hours)
Pre- requisites : GEMTH

Course Description:
This course will introduce the basic concepts and calculations used in descriptive and inferential statistics. This includes the methods of data collection, sampling techniques, graphing the
data and statistical evaluation of data collection, statistical inference such as internal estimation and testing hypothesis; chi-square and analysis of variance, simple correlation and regression
analysis. The course utilizes software in the analysis.

Course Intended Learning Outcomes (CILOs)

At the end of the course, the students would be able to:

1. Differentiate types of data
2. Determine sample size and apply sampling methods
3. Calculate measures of central tendency, variability and position in a data set
4. Present and analyze quantitative data using different statistical tests
5. Apply statistical software in the analysis of data
6. Prepare a research paper showcasing statistical analysis
